Barry M Cor Balmy Tinted Lip Balms

Ever since us Brits caught first glimpse of the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms we have all been a little nutty over flavoured lip balms haven't we? The newest and budget friendly addition to such category of product is Barry M Cor Balmy Tinted Lip Balms -  five new fruity scented and tinted lip balms that are a whole lot of fun!

The packaging of the Barry M Cor Balmy Tinted Lip Balms is what I expected - round, plastic tubes with wind up balms. Does the packaging remind me of the Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms? Yes but then again such product was hardly ground breaking in design was it? The truth is the majority of "fun" lip balms of this type come presented in the same style - mostly because it is easy to use and transport.

So yes five Barry M Cor Balmy Tinted Lip Balms to choose from or to collect. Each balm features a different tint and scent, we have the following: Adam and Eve - a light pastel pink that offers next to no colour pay off and has a sweet strawberry fragrance, Rose Lea - a bright pink balm that has good colour pay off with a sherbet type scent (think Refresher sweets), Trouble & Strife - a bright red based coral which again has good pigmentation and a fizzy, sweet strawberry scent that differs from Adam & Eve, Jam Jar - a bright well pigmented (as far as balms go) red with a raspberry fragrance and lastly Currant Bun - a deep pink come plum raspberry tint that has a grape (my guess is it meant to mimic currant) scent. It is only fair to keep in mind that the Barry M Cor Balmy Tinted Lip Balms are just that and won't offer the colour pay off of a lipstick. What they do is lightly tint the lips adding a barrier of moisture and a light glossy sheen.

Now I am by no means the biggest Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm fan, I found them to be sub par in terms of long lasting hydration but good enough to pop in a pocket for emergencies so I didn't expect to like the Barry M Cor Balmy Balms either. The main difference tint element aside is that the Barry M Cor Balmy Lip Balms feel much more hydrating on the lips. Now don't get me wrong they are by no means the most nourishing balm I own but for every day wear they are great which is due to the ingredient line up: Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil and vitamins to name a few. I won't pretend that they will heal chapped lips nor would they be my choice for winter but for a summer splash of easy to wear colour backed up with a slick of moisture you can't go wrong.
