Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer

One of the things I feel the UK lacks in general when it comes to make-up is high coverage concealers, yes there is a few out there but go to the likes of the US and the choices are much more vast. Do I wear high coverage concealer daily? No but I do like to have a few in my stash for when my skin decides to misbehave. Well a new brand has hit the the UK - Amazing Cosmetics, who happen to have a full coverage concealer that you can pick up in your local M&S store in a huge range of shades. About time too!

The great thing about Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer is that you can purchase two different sizes 6ml and 15ml neither of which are particularly cheap but as a little goes a long way I see it more of an investment than frivolous purchase. The packaging is nothing special - a small black squeeze tube which looks more like a lip balm than concealer but it is what is on the inside that counts.

Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer comes in a whopping 10 shades which do range from light to deep and offer both warm and cool undertones. I was kindly sent the shade Fair Golden which is oddly a warm toned, amber tinged medium shade. I wouldn't use this on my blemishes due to the shade but the strong orange undertone will cancel out any blue undertones from dark circles if you have a medium skin tone. Looking at online swatches I would most likely purchase the shade medium beige for my NC30-35 skin tone but that is just a guess. With lots of M&S stores having beauty halls I would recommend popping in store and colour matching the concealer to your skin tone/needs rather than blind buying (I kid you not the Glasgow beauty hall is beautiful).

The Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer has a thick almost somewhat oily texture - a little like paint that is easy to apply and blend out. I must however warn that a little goes a long way (it spreads so much that I'd never purchase the larger tube) and if you apply too much it can cake and look heavy despite feeling light on the skin. The coverage level is intense - it literally covers any skin complaint be it a blemish, dark circles, bruises or redness, it is rather astonishing (notice how I didn't use the term Amazing ha!). I own a few full coverage products and truthfully I can't thick of anything to compare it to - Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage comes close but it really is not the same (after much thought I would say it is similar in coverage and texture to Kevin Aucoin's Sensual Skin Enhancer - hindsight and all that!). When you first apply Amazing Cosmetics Amazing Concealer it does have a slightly greasy texture but once patted and blended into the skin it quickly sets and takes on a matte finish. I kid you not when I say it won't budge regardless of where you apply it - no creasing on the under eyes etc and that is on the oiliest of skin types. You can of course use a little powder to set this concealer but I honestly wouldn't deem that to be necessary that is how well this concealer wears. If one concealer can survive a long hot summer (wishful thinking eh) it is this!
