Lots of great beauty tid bits to tie us over this long Easter weekend...
I would imagine with the World Cup being held in Brazil as well as the next Olympics that Brazil inspired collections won't be short on the ground in the coming months or year for that matter. Collection Cosmetics will unveil their Mardi Gras which features three nail shades including White Out, Canary Yellow and Green with Envy and the Mardi Gras Lip Balms are flavoured and available in Green Apple, Strawberry and Orange which are said to be a dupe for Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balms. I am intrigued.
Next time you are in Sainsbury's you may want to treat yourself to a new lipstick or two? "Boutique at Sainsbury's has unveiled the Ibiza Glam Summer Collection. The new limited edition range is inspired by the SS14 runways and includes a collection of Lipsticks, Eyeshadows, Nail Polishes and Lip Glosses. The nail collection includes Selling Ice to Eskimos (peppermint green), Tickety Boo (coral), Lay it Out in Lavender (purple), while the eye range features eye shadows in sheer jewel tones in Nudge Nudge Wink Wink (grey), Wouldn’t Bat an Eyelid (rose brown) and Blaze of Glory (rose gold). The new lipsticks include Happy as a Clam (peach) and Storm in a Teacup (caramel brown), while the lip glosses include an All the Tea and China topcoat and Warming the Cockles of Your Heart, created to enhance volume and shine."
Fans of Paco Rabanne Lady Million may be pleased to know that a new version of their cult fragrance will be launching soon. Paco Rabanne Lady Million Eau My Gold will launch later this year and will replace the Eau de Toilette version. Notes are said to include: mango, neroli, bergamot, mandarin and grapefruit as well as violet leaf and orange blossom.
I don't know too much about the NYX in collaboration with the TV show Revenge other than they will launch a palette complete with cheek, lip and eye colours as well as a guide on how to create some of signature looks (can you tell I don't watch the show?). I doubt it will launch here in the UK but you never know.
Humour me - if I lived the dream a.k.a somehow become a millionaire and move to the sticks then this is the candle brand I would fill my chintzy home with."Fornasetti Profumi will luanch their forth collection- Giardino Segreto di Fornasetti. The new fragrance is inspired by a representation of an idealised Italian secret garden, displaying herbs, foliage, owls and balustrades on its decorative pieces. Top notes comprise cypresses, ivy, bergamot and pink pepper, with heart notes including cistus, labdanum, maquis and thyme, while cedar wood and vetiver are at the base. Barnaba Fornasetti, son of the Italian painter, sculptor, interior decorator and engraver Piero Fornasetti, has created an original Fornasetti design by combining three existing motifs from the archive in a new sequence. The ‘Giardino Segreto’ design features across a Scented Candle, Large Scented Candle and Room Spray, Barnaba has created a second original Scented Candle design within the collection, ‘Balaustra’, which makes greater use of the balustrade motif." At £85 to an eye watering £380 price bracket I guess I will have to continue to dream.
As of the 14th of May you will be able to get your hands on the Smashbox and Santigold collection. "The new range features products for face, eyes and lips including: Eye Shadow Collage, featuring Santigold's collage art work offering two palettes with five shades of luxe wet/dry eyeshadows; Be Legendary Lip Gloss, two shades of lip glosses that can be worn alone or layered with other shades; Be Legendary Lipstick Ring, a collectible snake-pyramid ring adorned with Swarovski crystals with a limited edition soft coral shade of Be Legendary Lipstick hidden inside;Double-Ended Limitless Eye Liner, a double ended liner in four shades including blue, gold, yellow and green; and Nail Polish Art Strips, two sets of mistake-proof nail strips designed by Santigold and musician Trouble Andrew."
Have a lovely long weekend everyone.
