For the longest time I overlooked Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer, everyone and their mother gushed about how great a product it was and yet I just wasn't tempted. Then one day Boots had a 3 for 2 (you know the drill) and this little compact of two concealers and powder came home with me and it swiftly became a favourite and not for it's concealing prowess. Oh no. You see the hidden wonder within this 3-in-1 is the pressed powder.
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer like most products by the brand comes in what I deem to be rather fun packaging - a small, round black compact that contains two sizeable concealers, a pressed powder, a powder puff and a mirror. It's like the Swiss knife of concealers. As it is made of plastic Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer is pretty sturdy and truly a great addition to any daily make-up bag.
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer sadly only comes in two shade options: light and medium. I have both colour ways but as my skin has yet to become sun kissed my medium kit has yet to be opened. In my opinion the light option isn't all that light and could run a little too deep for those with really fair skin but then again I am a little warped in that sense and tend to buy really light concealers. Basically what I am attempting to say in a round about way is pop in store and look at the shades for yourself instead of blind buying. The face concealer within this kit is similar in shade to MAC NW15 and the under eye option is approximately an NC20 in terms of colour.
The whole concept of Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer is that you have two various concealers each with a different purpose. Step 1 is a light pink/peach based concealer for the under eyes to eradicate any traces of dark circles and blue tones. Despite being a firm, cream based concealer it is surprisingly light in texture and well suited to such a delicate area of the face. I will be honest and say it is not as full in terms of coverage as I had hoped for but it does a great job of perking up a tired under eye without settling into creases. It is one of the few concealers I own that looks fresh all day long. Next up we have step 2 which is a yellow based concealer which has been formulated to cover blemishes. The texture of this concealer cake is a little heavier and dare I say it oilier than the eye version. I'm not totally sold on this formula but will admit that it does have a fuller level of coverage and does a great job of not only disguising blemishes but also redness. However the real star of the show is step 3 the pressed powder, nothing and I mean nothing sits so well on my under eye in terms of powder. My under eye area has a terrible habit of turning any powder and cream/liquid combination cakey and quickly at that. This powder not only sets my concealer beautifully keeping it in place all day without oxidising or looking heavy but as mentioned it doesn't cake. Although a stark white when swatched once applied and blended out it is completely colourless not to mention I find it helps to minimise and blur fine lines. Can I get a hallelujah? So far I haven't been able to find the powder separate but if you are reading this Soap and Glory please launch your concealing pressed powder as a separate product. Pretty please?

This concealer actually looks really good! Shame it only comes in two shade options, I'm sure a lot of people will be disappointed.
