Barry M Summer Love Palette

The days are lighter and seemingly longer and with that has come a longing for pastel shades at least as far as I am concerned. If you are on a budget but would still like to indulge in a light, candy toned palette this Spring you may want to invest in the new Barry M Summer Love Palette.

As with all Barry M palettes the Barry M Summer Love Palette comes presented within a cardboard casing. Some may say that this is not the most robust but truthfully I own all four of the Barry M palettes and have yet to experience any problems. My younger sister even carts one around in her swim bag (don't ask me why) and despite coming in contact with a soggy towel or two there has been next to no damage. Each palette comes with a mirror and two foam applicators. My only complaint with the Barry M Summer Love Palette is that unlike the past palettes this features both cream and powder products - basically expect eyeshadow fall out in your cream product sooner rather than later.

The Barry M Summer Love Palette contains six eyeshadows the majority of which are satin in formula with one true metallic shade. The shades are fairly candy toned with a baby blue, peach, lilac and mint green eyeshadow but to ensure variety there is two neutral eyeshadows. Typically speaking being pastel shades they are a little on the chalky side but they do not lack pigmentation, the deep bronze shade is less stark and easier to work with but all bode well with a primer. This palette also contains a cream highlighting product which I rather like - it has a firm, balm like texture yet provides a subtle glow wherever applied - it reminds a little of a paler version of Benefit Sunbeam. Again I fully recommend teaming with a primer especially if you have oily skin.
