Tarte Emphaseyes Waterproof Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse

The onslaught on brow products shows no sign of slowing down and with Tarte Cosmetics now hitting the UK via QVC we now have access to another brow mousse. I'm slowly getting used to ditching the brow pencil in favour of a paint on formula and do you know what the end result is much more natural - colour choice permitting of course.

The Tarte Emphaseyes Waterproof Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse are tiny dinky little glass jars of mousse that fortunately come with a duo ended brush - one end angled for precision and one end is a spoolie to shape the brows and to blend out the mousse. Although small in size and utterly perfect for travel in that aspect a little goes a long, long way so the size doesn't let the product down in the slightest.

Within the UK there is three shades of Tarte Emphaseyes Waterproof Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse to choose from: Taupe, Medium Brown and Rich Brown. In my opinion Taupe is the perfect option for those who have blonde, fair or even light brown brows, it is a light cool toned brown that looks natural when blended into the brows. Tarte's Medium Brown Emphaseyes Mousse is fairly dark but warml toned and will be a good basic brunette option but for those with darker brows Rich Brown would be the best choice. I think the latter would even suit those with almost black hair all the while looking soft and natural as it isn't as harsh as some black powder options.

The application process comes with a learning curve, I find the best way to apply the Tarte Emphaseyes Waterproof Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse is to gently dip the angled brush into the mousse and lightly begin to fill the brows. I tend to use the brush in the same way I would if it was a pencil product and every so often I will run the spoolie through the brows to soften out the lines. Basically practise makes perfect and out of all the brushes I own I did find the duo ended brush Tarte supply to be the best. Much like the majority of Tarte products this is formulated using Amazonian Clay making it an utter blessing for those like myself with oily skin - once set this formula does not budge. The brand claim that their formulation is waterproof and oil resistant and do you know what I agree. Yesterday I mastered the application, slicked it on at 9am, went about my day which included waiting outside in the rain for a few minutes for a bus and do you know what once home at 7pm my brows where still perfectly intact. Will the mousse survive a leisurely swim? I'm doubtful but oily skin and a smearing of rain won't leave you browless and when you think about it that is all that really matters and gets this oily gals seal of approval!
