Tarte Amazon Clay Blushes UK QVC

As you may be aware Tarte is now available within the UK via QVC. No not everything made the cut but my guess is that this is the brand's way of testing the water and if all goes well I can imagine that sooner rather than later the entire line up will be readily available. I imagine most of us will be excited about the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes so that is where I will start...

Rather oddly the packaging for the UK Tarte Amazonian Clay Blushes differs from those I picked up in the states - gone is the outer floral leave design and in is a sleek and simple design. You may be pleased to know that the blush still features the signature Tarte embossing and of course the compact comes complete with a mirror. As expected all the outer packaging is colour coordinated to match the blush shade inside.Truthfully I prefer the UK version as it is more grown up but at the end of the day it is only aesthetics and as long as the casing is sturdy (it is) I'm happy.

To the best of my knowledge Tarte will only launch three shades of their Amazonian Clay Blushes: Fearless, Flush and True Love. All three are matte shades and the newest addition to the permanent Amazon Clay Blush line up according to Sephora. Tarte Fearless is listed as a coral pink which I agree with, it leans more pink than orange, in fact it has a slightly red tone and is one of those shades I recommend approaching with a light hand. It is one of those shades that gives the skin a slightly sunburned effect and despite being matte it has a certain glow aspect when on the cheeks. Flush is officially listed as a pink berry hue but in my opinion it is a light and cool toned pink that almost veers Lilac. If you like Benefit's Hervana Blush or their Lolitint you will most likely want this shade, in all honesty it isn't words apart from Tarte's Dollface blush either. Truelove is dubbed a watermelon offering - in my mind it is a slightly more red toned version of Tarte Fearless, if you find typical coral blushes a little too pale and chalky this could be the one for you.

If you have never encountered a Tarte Amazon Clay Blush then you are in for a pleasant surprise when the first time you ever swatch one or touch one arises. The pigmentation is incredible, I have honestly never experienced a blush quite as intense as this formula is. One little swipe is literally all it takes for incredible colour pay off so it is safe to say that a Tarte Amazon Clay Blush will last you forever and a day. However don't worry if you do have a heavy hand as this formula does easily blend out without too much work leaving behind harsh lines. This blush line is rather dreamy not only do they apply beautifully with a soft but altogether firm texture there is also next to no fall out. It feels light and silky on the skin and is extremely comfortable to wear and as earlier mentioned this formula is incredibly pigmented and will show even on the deepest skin tones without appearing ashen nor will it cake, always a good thing. The three matte shades mentioned above really are suitable for all as they don't emphasise enlarged pores nor will they cling to any dry areas of the skin. The Tarte Amazon Clay Blushes are marketed as 12 hour wear products which I find to be a slight exaggeration, I found them to wear for around 8-9 hours before signs of wear and fading appeared. So yes they wear well but not quite the full 12 hours.

You can purchase the Tarte Amazon Clay Blushes via QVC for £21.12 (will be £23) - link
