Okay Estee Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB Moisture Make Up is a mouthful but trust me when I say it is one of the very few make-up products out there deserving of the "If you buy this product your life will be better" titles.
Over the years I have dabbled with the original Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundations which are not without their charm but for everyday wear I found the coverage a little too intense. Then along comes Estee Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB Moisture Make Up and blows all my expectations out of the water - a light and easy to wear, dewy finish base that lasts the pace of the day and offers moderate coverage. So simple, so effective that you'll be left wondering why it took the brand so long to come up with the concept.
I must firmly state that although this is being dubbed a BB cream of sorts it is not at all what I have come to expect from those dreaded double initial concoctions - from the get go it comes in 8 shades. Estee Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB Moisture Make Up is not a glorified tinted moisturiser but a light weight foundation. On the skin Estee Lauder All Day Glow does feel light and somewhat hydrating without being overwhelming on oily skin types, I can see this being beneficial for drier complexions as the added moisture should prevent this from clinging to dry areas. It is one of the most fool proof bases I own - you can and will achieve a flawless finish regardless of how you apply it - I personally like to use my fingertips and then build up a little extra coverage where needed using a beauty blender. I feel it is important not to compare this to the other two Double Wear Foundation formula's when it comes to coverage as this is not as intense - yes it easily evens out the skin tone and minor imperfections but you may want to build it up over blemishes which it does without caking. At the moment I am wearing and using shade intensity 2.0 which is a good match for my winter NC30 skin tone.
Having less than perfect skin I am always a little wary of dewy finish foundations as I feel my skin looks best when somewhat hidden underneath a cloak of matte foundation. Sad but true. However Estee Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB Moisture Make Up is the exception, it doesn't settle into my enlarged pores nor does it quickly turn from fresh and dewy to greasy and plain frightening in a few hours thanks to my oily skin. As I'm not one to take chances with my skin type I do set this with a lightweight powder (Clinique Blended Face Powder) to set the foundation without changing the overall finish but the end result is a fresh, soft base that looks entirely natural and thanks to the powder that is Estee Lauder Double Wear this will stay in place until you are ready to remove it and not a minute before. I see this as being the ideal middle ground between a tinted moisturiser and a BB Cream: you have the added skin care benefits, light to medium coverage, natural but dewy finish and an SPF 15. If ever there was a base invented for the Spring months is was Estee Lauder Double Wear All Day Glow BB Moisture Make Up.
