DKNY City Blossoms Travel Exclusive Fragrances

The first hint of sunshine aka today and I'm already day dreaming of sunny climes and ice cream, then again it's not often that I don't think about ice cream. Jesting aside if you are jetting off in April you may want to check out the new DKNY City Blossoms Travel Exclusive Fragrances - two scents that can not be bought anywhere else but on certain flights and in the World Duty Free Store.

Much like the somewhat easier to source trio of DKNY City Blossom fragrances (read my review here) the two new additions have been inspired by the growing trend of beautiful urban rooftop gardens in NYC, a santuary amongst the hustle and bustle of one of the world's most dynamic cities. Unlike the original trio of DKNY City Blossom offerings this duo is certainly more floral based and you can hardly detect the apple note what so ever.

First up we have DKNY Be Delicious City Blossom Avenue Iris which comes presented in a blue box, the reason I mention this is that sometimes in Duty Free things aren't quite as organised as a typical store and you may skip over it assuming it was a scent intended for males. City Blossom Avenue Iris contains notes of Petitgrain Citronnier, pomelo and white tea, with accents of iris, Morroccan jasmine, purple lotus, musk, Gaiacwood, Grapefruit blossom and tonka bean. Do you recall Versace Yellow Jeans EDT from back in the day? My mum owned a bottle and as a youngster I thought it was fancy air freshener. Any way to cut a long story short this is what Avenue Iris reminds me of rather strongly. It is sharp and zingy and not at all what I've come to expect from the Be Delicious range, I'm rather taken by it truth be told.

The other scent is DKNY Be Delicious City Blossom Terrace Orchid which comprises of top notes of blackberry, grapefruit, raspberry and orchid, with heart and base notes of peony, magnolia, blonde woods and musk. In my opinion this is a bright fruity fragrance that reminds me a little of Ralph Lauren's Big Pony for Her in no.4 - the berry notes are what you notice most and I think it would be very fitting for a warm, cheery summers day.

Availability
Both will be available from Nuance Watson at Singapore Changi Airport this month and then from April at selected travel retail stores across the Asian Pacifica and American locations.

DKNY City Blossom Avenue Iris will be available from World Duty Free within the UK this coming April and DKNY Be Delicious City Blossom Terrace Orchid in-flight on Thomas Cook Nordic, TUI Fly, SAS Charter and Norwegian.
