Clinique Cheek Pops

Newly launched on the Clinique website is the oh so cute Clinique Cheek Pop blushes which pretty much scream take my money and don't ask why! Four sugary sweet shades that pack a punch not to mention the adorable packaging make it easy to see why one shade has already sold out despite launching less than 24 hours ago!

There's not all that much to say about the packaging - small, sturdy transparent casing that allows you to see the shade held within. The selling point is of course the beautiful Gerbera print that is centre place on each blush - it almost and I say almost made it difficult to disturb the design to try out the blush.

The texture of the Clinique Cheek Pops is something else - it's not quite a cream nor is it a powder and perhaps best described as a hybrid of the two. It has a firm almost powder like consistency but as doesn't crumble or flake when rubbed, rather it somewhat melts and creates a non-sticky or wet cream offering. It is one of the few cream like formulations that works equally well with a brush or fingertips. I personally like to dab on with my fingertips and then blend into my skin using a dense brush for a subtle look but the beauty of the Clinique Cheek Pops is that they are so pigmented that no skin tone will struggle in terms of colour pay off. They build well without caking and also sheer out with a little work.

Clinique Cheek Pops are limited edition (to the best of my knowledge) and come in four shades: 01 Ginger Pop - a mid toned, somewhat brown tinged coral - not as bright as a typical coral making it perfect for everyday wear, 02 Peach Pop - a light, yellow toned coral that leans neutral and should suit all skin tones, 03 Berry Pop - more of a medium blue based pink than berry and 04 Plum Pop - again another pink offering and again it is blue tinged but more of a light candy pink opposed to the bright tone of Berry Pop. My personal favourite is of course Peach Pop which is the shade that has sold out online but I wouldn't worry as the blushes have still to go into all department stores and counters.

Clinique Cheek Pops are available now via Clinique - link but will go onto counters come the 21st of March
for £16.50/3.5g each.
