Today it is a case of admitting I am sometimes wrong about a product and given how often I have wrote of NARS Laguna Bronzer I am feeling a little sheepish. The truth is that since going blonde a few months ago this is the only bronzer that doesn't look muddy on my skin tone and is the perfect contour shade.
I don't know if I have ever mentioned this before but NARS bronzers are huge and contain 8g of product nearly double the size of a NARS blush (4.8g). Unsurprisingly the bronzers come presented within the typical rubberized NARS packaging and with a large mirror inside. What is pretty surprising is that NARS Bronzers come in three shades: Laguna, Irresistiblement (which I have never heard all that much about) and Casino. NARS Laguna is of course the most renowned of the three and for very good reason. This olive based medium tan shade has a slight ashen tone that lends itself well to contouring as well as being perfect for warming up light to medium skin tones. Couple that with a soft but firm texture that applies and blends out like a dream and you can see why this is a firm favourite of many.
The pigmentation of NARS Laguna Bronzer outstanding but then again that seems to be the case with all NARS powder products. In my case I find I only require one quick swipe being needed to contour and bronze on my current NC30 skin tone, all the while looking natural and not caking
or encouraging my skin to turn into an oily mess - sometimes I use this all over my face to warm up my complexion. This is an almost matte bronzer but I do want to point out that it is not
completely matte there is a slight and very sheer shimmer element to Laguna, it acts more of an illuminator rather than leaving glitter scattered all over your face and is subtle enough to contour with.
In terms of wear I find this to stay in place for up to ten hours as a contour and around the eight hour
mark when used as a bronzer/blush - I always prime and have oily skin for reference.
NARS I eat my hat...
