MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick Review

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna Lipstick

MAC cosmetics should be commended for all their work in their quest to serve all those affected by aids and HIV via their MAC Aids Fund which most of us will be aware of thanks to the numerous MAC Viva Glam campaigns. The most recent campaign includes two new frosty red shades fronted by the current MAC it girl Rihanna and like all Viva Glam collaborations every penny of the selling price of either lip product goes directly toward helping those in need.

MAC Viva Glam Rihanna comes presented within a rather striking matte red case complete with Rihanna's signature stamped on the inside. Viva Glam Rihanna is described as a frosty blue red which I don't find to be all that fitting as it is not all that cool toned in person which is a good thing as it should in theory lend itself well to all skin tones or at least the majority. Despite being deemed a frost formula it isn't all that frosty - sure it has a little shimmer which adds dimension and to a certain extent it will make the lips look more plump but rest assured it is not some 80's throwback that can my mother would have rocked back in the day. The downside of such formula is that I do find it a little drying and prone to clinging to any dry areas of my lips but on the flip side it does wear for close to three hours without fading or bleeding.

Is MAC Viva Glam Rihanna special? No, not at all but I do think that it is pretty wearable especially of you prefer a sheerer red lipstick and also I can't really fault anything that is essentially selfless and helping those in need.
