Cheeky Chat Me Up Nail Paints Spring 2014

Cheeky is the younger and for lack of a better term cheekier sister of Cow Shed.
"Cheeky is all about instant beauty gratification in a fun, flirty and colourful way."
The line is more beauty focused with numerous nail paints in an array of bright and bang on trend colours, today I have two of the new Spring shades to share...

The shape of the polishes remind me of Rimmel's Salon Pro line - a round bottle with a back lid that contains a large but flat brush again similar to the aforementioned Rimmel polish. The idea is that the brush fans out over the nail, quickly coating it in polish in one quick swipe. It does indeed do that but those with narrow nails may have to approach with caution.

I was sent the shades: Ice Ice Baby which is a light baby blue polish with a crème finish and Tar Very Much a black jelly base with various tones of micro glitter. The formula of Cheeky's Ice Ice Baby is wonderful, it dries quickly and is opaque in two coats. Tar Very Much is a little trickier, it has a sheer but glossy finish and will require around four coats to become opaque. In my opinion this shade is best layered over a darker polish to save applying countless coats.

The Spring Cheeky Nail Paints have yet to launch but when they do you can find them for £7 each via Superdrug - link, via urcheeky.com and of course within the Cheeky Parlour on Redchurch St.in Shoreditch, London.
