I'm ready for the Spring - the long, cold and dark winter days are getting me down and I long to shed some layers. Realistically that is not going to happen any time soon, I mean I do live in Glasgow where four hours of sunshine is considered our summer. I jest of course but I do have a craving for floral prints and pastel hues of just about everything. Anyway enough of my bellyaching and on to what I have been enjoying for the last few days or so.

As you will most likely know on Tuesday I got a new tattoo so I have been slathering Bepanthen Nappy Care Ointment (find it via Boots - link) on to keep it moist. However I have also found it to be great on my Eczema which has been particularly bad for the last month. Yes all it does is prevents the skin from drying out and as a result becoming less tender and itchy but I'll take all I can get at the moment. Luckily I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow to get the problem solved once and for all. I will do a follow up post with Eczema recommendations.

Due to my skin being really sensitive and dare I say it scaly (sexy huh?) make-up has been fairly minimal but I have found NARS Radiant Cream Compact Foundation (find it via the House of Fraser - link)to be great as it has a light yet hydrating texture which doesn't cling to my dry patches nor does it slide off my skin due to oiliness. If you are looking for a pretty pink blush that wears well and suits the majority of skin tones look no further than MeMeMe's Blush Me in Pink (find it here - link). I liken it to be a great dupe for Illamasqua's Tremble blush. Lastly on my lips to disguise the fact I'm wearing next to nothing on my face I have been relying on Topshop's Lip Cream in Pout (find it here - link) which is the brightest matte orange lip product ever! It also doesn't hurt that it is a great dupe for MAC's M'Orange lipstick. Winner.

Like I said I'm ready for the Spring so I've been ditching all heavy scents be they for the home or personal use. My recommendations are Orla Kiely's Mint and Basil candle which admittedly doesn't sound all that appeasing but it has to be one of the most fresh yet delicate fragrances out there - it is so natural yet refreshing with a great scent throw. I only have the mini candle at the moment but as soon as it is finished I will be purchasing the full size which you can find here via John Lewis - link.  Flash London Club by Jimmy Choo is a grower, at first I liked it and compared it to Paco Rabanne Ultra Violet but slightly more floral. I still stand by that comparison but would change my stance from like to love. There is something so different about this fragrance that I can't put my finger on but it keeps me coming back for more. I seldom purchase back up's of anything but come pay day another bottle will be winging its way to me. It is limited edition sadly.

Did you have a great week?
