New Budget Beauty Finds

I love nothing more than a good old route around the high street to see what the likes of Boots and Superdrug have to offer - who says you have to spend a lot to look and feel great? Here is what I have found recently that I think is worth while investigating.

At the moment Seventeen (previously referred to as 17 - Boots own brand) are knocking it out of the park with their newest additions - my current favourite concealer is Seventeen's On the Spot offering. This nifty little tube of liquid concealer is an absolute dream for concealing under eye circles due to the slightly pink under tone. As it is a liquid it sits rather well on such area without settling into fine lines or clinging to dry areas nor does it encourage my mascara to smudge (oily girl problem if ever there was one). It does promise to clear up blemishes in three weeks but I don't really use it for that purpose but that is not to say that it won't cover pimples because it does and rather well at that. I liken it to the likes of NARS Creamy Concealer only with a slightly less intense level of coverage. A great find at £4.99 (I have since bought the matching foundation and will do a review post on both next week) find Seventeen On the Spot Concealer here - link.

Speaking of Seventeen if you are a nail enthusiast you need to pop along to your local Boots store and purchase the Seventeen Deconstructed Nail Studs. These funky little silver triangle nail studs (the packaging says gold but mine are silver) will toughen up any manicure and are fairly easy to use too! I think they would look great teamed with a glossy black manicure don't you? Find them here for £3.99 - link.

As it is still officially winter the new Gothic Glam lipsticks from Collection are perfect for glamming up your look and dupe some cult MAC shades rather well for a snippet of the price (£2.99 each). My favourite shades from the quad of new hues have to be shade 1 Seduction which is a deep almost red dusky cool toned pink and shade 2 scorned which is a deep plum based purple (almost black) which could give MAC cyber a run for its money! Truthfully the formula does veer a little dry but the pigmentation is there and they do wear well on the lips (around three hours and fading evenly). You can find them for £2.99 each via Superdrug - link.

Last and not technically a new addition to my make-up bag but as I just repurchased a new pencil I thought it was time to share my love for Rimmel Scandaleyes Khol Kajal Pencil in Nude. Every make-up wearer should own a nude eye liner to line the waterline with to really open and brighten the eyes not to mention create the illusion of larger eyes. It also helps to disguise blood shoot eyes if you have perhaps partied a little too hard this festive season. I have tried a good few nude ey eliners over the last few years and Rimmel Scandaleyes Khol Kajal is one of the best - it glides on without tugging, has a creamy yet rich texture that is loaded with pigment, it doesn't irritate my eyes and most importantly wears for up to four hours on my water line. In a word? Winner. Find it here for £3.99 - link.
