Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop Nail Polish

I have toyed with owning Deborah Lippmann's Candy Shop Nail Polish for close to three years but at £18 for just one polish something or other always held me back (normally my bank balance). With Deborah Lippmann polishes expanding their stockists within the UK just recently I finally caved and bought Candy Shop.

Admittedly Candy Shop will not be for everyone it is a Barbie pink milky base with more glitter than you could ever imagine possible in various primary colours and sizes. As my Grandmother not so eloquently put it "It looks like My Little Pony ate one to many sugary sweet cupcakes and puked over your nails". Mmm lovely but I kinda see where she is coming from. This is far from a refined polish but it's kitsch, happy and 100% me. If you are looking for something a little less mainstream and by that I mean a shade you can dupe by hitting the likes of Boots or Superdrug this is the one for you. The closest dupe you will encounter is Revlon's Girly Polish but truthfully the formula isn't all that great.

For £18 I had high expectations for this polish and do you know what it doesn't disappoint - chunky glitter polishes are notoriously difficult to apply but thanks to the formula and well sized brush this glides on fairly easily. I achieved full coverage with two coats - the second coat I dabbed on rather than using typical brush strokes for even glitter dispersion. It dries quickly too which I always deem a strong selling point - I'm impatient at best. Being a fairly milky base you could also layer this over other polishes for your own unique creation?

Debroah Lippmann Candy Shop you were so worth the wait!
