Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base

Spring has officially sprung...well as far as make-up is concerned anyway and paving the way is Clarins Spring 2014 which has so much to offer. My favourite product from the line up has to be the new Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases, if you like the idea of a cream highlighting product that is multi-purpose this is for you.

Before I tell you all about the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases I do want to quickly mention the packaging. At £26 per tube it is not cheap but you do get 30ml of product which is dispersed via a pump. Unlike other pumps I have complained about in the past this only releases the smallest amount of product (a little goes a long way) so nothing goes to waste. Thank you Clarins!

The Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases come in three shades: 01 Rose, 02 Champagne and 03 Peach. I have 01 Rose which is a light pink cream that doesn't tint the skin rather it leaves pearlescent pink nuances of illumination on the skin. I would deem it to be universal but if you prefer a more neutral highlight effect for the Champagne shade and if you want something more warm yet golden your best bet is Peach. I would liken Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base in 01 Rose to a more subtle version of Benefit High Beam only this product is much more refined and has skin care benefits.

Unlike a typical radiance boosting product this has been designed to even out the skin tone, give the appearance of blurred pores and of course a healthy glow to the skin. The texture of the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases are creamy yet lightweight - they instantly absorb into the skin without adding extra moisture to the skin nor are they drying. If you are having a good skin day this would be perfect for just evening out the skin tone and adding a subtle natural glow but due to the texture they are wonderful as a primer. That's not all you can also mix a little in with your foundation for a more dewy finish, use as you would a typical highlighter and if you are feeling fancy rub a little on exposed skin (i'm looking at you legs). Oh and it gets better all three shades feature Clarins Anti-Pollution technology - basically it acts as a barrier to prevent pollution from affecting your skin. Clever non?

A little goes a long, long way and if like myself you have enlarged pores or perhaps you have mature skin but still want a radiant glow without needless shimmer/glitter particles which only highlight problem areas this is the product to invest in. It gives a soft focus finish that is beyond flattering and perks up the skin in a subtle manner making it perfect for all.

I can see the Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Bases being an instant hit when they launch later this month.
