Trilogy Rosapene Day and Night Collection Review

Trilogy Rosapene Day and Night Collection

Skincare is a somewhat pricey affair particularly when gift sets are involved but one of the well known and loved skincare brands have the perfect solution with their Limited Edition Rosapene Day and Night Collection. I am of course referring to the beauty bloggers favourite brand of choice Trilogy.

For £29.50 you get three almost full sized and best selling products that caters to both your day and night skin routine. The three products are the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream (20ml), Trilogy Rosehip Oil (30ml) and Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream (20ml). In my opinion it is a great kit for those familiar with the brand or as a taster set.

Me being me I can't help but share my opinion on the products within the set, first up we have the Trilogy Vital Moisturising Cream which is the day moisturiser of the bunch. Although it does state so on the tube it does contain an SPF of 15 and is great for applying before make-up. In my opinion this has a thick and somewhat tacky texture that does take a little longer than I would like to absorb but once it does it leave the skin feeling nourished, matte and is said to have skin repairing qualities. The ingredient list includes Carrot Seed Oil (said to nourish, tighten, revitalize, and rejuvenate skin. It can improve skin tone, elasticity, and general skin health), Rosehip Oil (rich in antioxidants and can help with scarring) and Evening Primrose Oil (can help with inflammation). In my opinion this is a great every day moisturiser for normal to dry skin types but would be a little too heavy for oily skin types.

Perhaps the better known product of the three and the treatment item of the bunch has to be Trilogy Rosehip Oil. This oil is often raved about by skin care junkies, celebrities and anyone else who stumbles across it. Used daily (two drops before applying either you night or day cream) this oil can quickly transform the tone and texture of your complexion. It is bursting with antioxidants and essential fatty acids to repair skin and promote cell renewals - it is said to address the majority of primary skin concerns in one quick and simple step. Basically this wonder oil prevents dryness, soothes irritation, rebalances oiliness, minimises scarring and wards off the harmful effects of environmental damage to leave your skin looking and feeling smoother, brighter and with any luck younger looking. This suits all skin types and is a great, all round skin treatment that feels light on the skin and doesn't clog the pores.

Lastly the kit contains Trilogy Rosapene Night Cream which is essentially a more intense version of the day cream mentioned above. This of course does not contain an SPF but it does feature avocado oil, Goji berry extract and Manuka Honey to hydrate, soothe and repair the skin. Again I found it to be a little heavy for my skin type (oily) but imagine it would be wonderful to quest winter beaten dry skin as well as protecting normal skin types from the harsher weather. I like this, I just wish the formula was a little lighter in texture.
