Weekly Favourites #11

This week has been pretty manic and as a result blogging has taken a back seat which sometimes happens but hey as long as we are still breathing and healthy the world keeps on spinning eh?
Yes I am just awake and babbling like a mad woman but let me share a few favourites from the last week.

Weekly Favourites #11

This week it has been all about relaxing and I have found Diptyque's Tubereuse to be the most beautiful floral fragrance that is soft yet relaxing with a great scent throw. I sadly only have a miniature of this version and truth be told I am trying to reign in my candle obsession so it will be a long, long while before I purchase this is in the full size variety but I do recommend giving it a sniff if in store. Find the full size via Space.NK - link.

The two scrubs rocking my world this week have been Lush's Santa Lip Scrub which is incredibly overpriced for what it is but hey it works, tastes pretty decent and I guess deep down we are all suckers to the novelty factor. You can find it here - link.

As a fan of self tanning I do have to keep a body scrub in the shower at all times to ensure that I rid myself of old, patchy tan on a daily basis as well as keeping my skin soft and supple. I kid you not when I say that the Bomb Cosmetics Blackcurrant Body Polish may just be one of the most amazing fragrances known to man - it literally smells good enough to eat! Imagine blackcurrant sorbet and you will have the general idea. Fragrance aside this is a gentle yet effective scrub that more than does the job. Find it here - link.

Like an idiot I have forgotten to include L'Oreal's Lumi Magique Foundation in the above image but it all I have been using in terms of bases for the last week or so. In the past I have likened it to NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and I still stand by such sentiment it is just I find that my skin both in tone and type (oily) prefers the Lumi Magique formulation. It offers great coverage that looks both natural and slight luminous without ever looking heavy or greasy for that matter. If you have yet to try it I urge you do to so soon as it is one of my favourite high street foundations ever. Find it via Boots - link.

My make-up has been pretty basic this week due to unforeseen circumstances but I have been enjoying Maybelline's Color Pigment Eyeshadow in Breaking Bronze which have yet to launch in the UK. Truthfully I wouldn't pay over the odds for this eyeshadow as the formula is only mediocre and very much like every other loose pigment eyeshadow out there. The reason I like it purely down to the colour - the bright golden hue works well with my blue eyes but there is plenty of dupes in terms of shade out there i.e MAC Bronze etc.

On my lips have been Lord and Berry Shining Lipstick Pencils (I have been a little sneaky and not photographed the used side) which are quickly becoming everyday staples. I like that you can quickly line and fill the lips with ease and that the formula is both somewhat glossy, moisturising and opaque. I will of course review the three shades that I have in the coming days but they get the thumbs up form me especially the shade Intimacy! Find them via ASOS - link.

Last but not least we have my current go to nail combination which doesn't look to be getting retired any time soon. Annoyingly my Calgel nails which were only done on Wednesday peeled off on Friday evening so I busted out Essie's Midnight Cami and NYC's Rock Muse Smoky Top Coat in Green Day and merrily painted my nails. This combo has been my pedicure for at least a week now but now it is on my fingernails I have to say I love the deep almost black emerald combination. I can't find the top coat online but you can find it in Superdrug for less than £2 and Essie's Midnight Cami here - link

What have you been enjoying?
