I know, I know writing about nail polish remover is hardly ever exciting but hear me out.
Do you remember when the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover launched and every one went a little gaga over it, only to discover it wasn't all that great? Yes it was convenient, you in theory dip a finger into the pot, twist and hey presto nail polish gone. Like I said in theory as I found out that it took a few dips and twists to fully remove the polish.

Well in my opinion Maybelline Express Nail Polish Remover Pot does exactly what the Bourjois and cheaper versions can't. It is one of the few nail polish removers that I have found will remove normal nail polish (I tested it with three coats on each finger) with one quick dip and twist (that sounds like a dance move doesn't it?) and glitter polish in around three twists. Not bad for a £4.99 pot if you ask me.

It is also worth noting that I have had my Maybelline Express Remover pot for over a month now and use it religiously to quickly change up my polish and it is still going strong and has not dried my nails or surrounding skin out in the slightest. There is plenty of nail polish removers of this type out there now but this is by far the best I have tried, reasonably priced, strong yet gentle. You can't ask for more really!

As a heads up, should your nail polish remover pot of any kind dry out or simply become a little murky you can remove the sponge, drain the liquid out inside, rinse the sponge insert, allow to dry and refill with a nail polish remover of your choice. I sometimes feel I'm one step away from joining Blue Peter...
