MAC Lured to Love Mineralize Blush

Believe it or not, not everything that I purchase makes it on to the blog and this very blush nearly slipped through the cracks. However after wearing nothing but MAC Lured to Love Mineralize Blush on my cheeks for the last few days I felt it was only fair I shared my thought before it sells out.

I'm not going to waste too much of your time discussing the packaging it is pretty much in the style of a bog standard MAC Mineralize Blush but only this time around the black accents are matte in finish and the MAC lettering is gold. It is really pretty and rather chic not to mention practical due to the large transparent window. I must mention that the MAC MSF formulation is baked and as a result a little fragile so it can shatter etc if not handled with care.

I should mention that MAC Lured to Love Mineralize Blush is part of the Christmas/Holiday Divine Night collection for 2013. Oddly not much has really been said about this blush on the blog-o-sphere which is a shame as it is a beautiful everyday shade. MAC Lured to Love is officially listed as "Coral Pink Base with Pink Frost" and I couldn't agree more. To elaborate a little further the shade leans slightly more towards the peach end of coral opposed to the pink spectrum - it has more of a golden sheen than pink shimmer but none the less is very flattering and the closest dupe I have to the long gone MAC Ripe Peach. I do have to warn that this is better suited to those with a light to medium complexion as a blush and perhaps a highlighter for those with darker skin.

Typically speaking I prefer matte formulations due to my enlarged pores but I can not fault this particular MAC Mineralize Blush shade or finish for that matter. On the skin it not only delivers a light flush of colour as it is a sheer formula which can be built up in layers without appearing heavy or caking nor does it settle into enlarged pores or fine lines. The shimmer present in the blush is so fine that it illuminates for a lit within glow, it truly is beautiful and is one of the few shades that allows you to skip highlighting should you wish. Mineralize formulas don't always wear all that well on my oily skin and do more often than not require a primer as without it I only gain around 4-5 hours of wear yet with it is closer to the 7 hour mark. Obviously any other skin type will have better results and I do want to mention that this particular shade does not cling to dry areas either.
