I apologise if you are eating while reading this post as what I am about share is pretty grim if I do say so myself. Over the last few months my scalp has became really itchy, to the point that I will scratch it red raw and end up with various cuts. At first I thought it could be dandruff but the fact I no flakes indicated that was not the case. Luckily my hairdresser diagnosed the problem one of my hair care products (i'm still not entirely sure which or if it is a combination) is leaving an icky coating on my scalp...yuck!

Truthfully I'm no hair care fanatic and will buy what ever entices me or what is on offer in Boots but I have read that natural haircare or even products that are sulphate free can be beneficial for such problem and so much more of course. At the recommendation of a friend I stopped by Lush and purchased the Lush Squeaky Green Solid Shampoo which admittedly does feel like you are washing your hair with soap.
The concept does take a little getting used to, I used it much like a soap - lather it up in-between my hands and then apply the lather to my scalp and wash as normal. If I am doing this completely wrong do pull me up in the comments.

I really want to like Lush Squeaky Green Solid Shampoo as it does deeply cleanse the scalp and is great for a once a week detox in my case but yet I can't get past the bizarre texture of flaky bits of what I am assuming is some herb or other. The fragrance is also rather pungent and sticks around on the hair which is great if you happen to like it not so much if strong almost talcum scents aren't for you (the aren't for me). On the plus side my scalp is residue free but I do warn that with frequent use this shampoo bar could be rather drying so if you have dry hair to begin with I would skip and go for something more nourishing.
