I am so excited to share my favourites this months...giddy almost but that could be down to the fact it is Halloween and I have ate my fair share of the kids sweets before they have even tricked or treated. Hey I'm saving them from childhood diabetes and a trip to the dentist. I jest of course but here is what has been rocking my boat for the weeks past.
I apologise in advance if hair care and skin care are not your bag but I have found some gems. If like myself you have blonde hair prone to brassiness then you need John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Shampoo in your life. I have tried pretty much every silver/purple/whatever you want to call it toning shampoo out there and this comes out trumps. It is reasonably priced and rids my hair of yellow tones in an instant. I utterly swear by it and recommend it to all my fellow blondes. Find it via Boots for £5.99 and currently on a 3 for 2 deal - link.
My other hair care favourite is all about the repair factor - in my case putting in what the bleach took out! I was so enamoured by my mini bottle of Redken's Extreme Anti-Snap that I bought a full sized bottle after trying it just the once. Not only does this leave in treatment protect against future breakage and split ends but it also helps to rebuild the hair with fibre technology. It is one of those products that you can feel and see work from first use and visibly leaves my hair looking less damaged. Again this gets the thumbs up from me and is a must have if your hair is looking and feeling a little worse for wear! Find it for £14.75 via Feel Unique - link.
Now I have three skin care favourites two of which are completely new steps for my routine. First up we have Melvita's Narcissus Extraordinary Water which is an organic water based pre-moisturiser containing naturally derived Hyaluronic Acid to help retain moisture. I splash this on my face Home Alone style at bed time before a little night cream and my skin has never felt or looked better. The aim of this product is not only to lock in moisture but to brighten the skin and now the weather is chilly I find it to be a much needed extra step. A full review of the Melvita's Extraordinary Waters will follow but for now let me say they are a new staple product for me. Find it via Feel Unique for £17 - link.
Another new step for me is toner, yes really! Up until now I had deemed it to be unnecessary and never bothered but since trying out Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Toner I am a convert. Not only has this toner which both exfoliates and brightens the skin in one quick step brightened my skin but it has also helped with my annoying Milia and reduced my acne scarring. In a word? Love. Find Mario Badescu's Glycolic Acid Toner via Beauty Bay for £17.95 - link.
Waterproof mascara is the bane of my existence, I require it thanks to the dreary, wet Scottish weather yet find it more than a chore to remove. Luckily I have the Body Shop's Camomille Waterproof Make-Up Remover at hand to make light work of any waterproof formula, sure it is a little greasy but it really does remove waterproof mascara at lightening speed and it is gentle on the skin. Win, win. Find it here - link.
Last but not least I have two make-up products of sorts, first up my beloved Thierry Mugler Alien perfum which just feels like home when sprayed on my winter coats. As many will know this is my signature scent but it always seems more fitting in the cold weather. Find it via House of Fraser - link. My only true make-up favourite this month has to be MeMeMe Blush Me in Pink, this pretty pink blusher has been providing a pretty but subtle pink glow to my cheeks that really compliments my blonde hair and wears well with my oily skin which you can find at Superdrug (not online) for £8.50.
What have you been holding closely this month?
I hope the English weather tonight puts the trick or treaters off as all ive to give them is toffees, their mum's are gunna kill me hehe. Love your faves.x

I really should invest in The Body Shop eye make up remover, such a big fan I am not sure why I haven't already purchased it. And I love Thierry Mugler Alien, mmmmm absolute winter perfume I say.

I love love love Alien. I've gone through two bottle and just adore it. I haven't had it for a couple years but I think I'm going to put it on my Christmas list. My husband says it's his favourite perfume that I've owned :) I've also been using the Redken anti-snap for years and love it too!

Anti snap is The Nuts! I did the same as you- got a sample size, loved it and ploughed my way through, then got the full size one. I did a review the other day (not doing a shameless plug, just thought it was a coincidence!) http://runninginmywellies.blogspot.co.uk/2013/10/review-redken-anti-snap.html
