If like myself you have any form of interest in perfume then you may want to pick up the new book by Karen Gilbert - "Perfume The Art and Craft of Fragrance". When I say it covers absolutely everything you could imagine in terms of fragrance I am not kidding. From the evolution of perfume over the decades, the explanation of various notes and how to create your own fragranced products at home it covers it all.

Despite being a beautiful book it really does go into detail - sure it will look pretty on your bookshelf but it truly is a great read with facts a plenty and some truly interesting insight into the perfume world such as the psychology of perfume, tools of the trade and how to train your nose like a perfumers...I'm working on it.
There is a full chapter dedicated to recipes on how to create perfume, body and home products so all bases are covered and it is safe to say that should you purchase this book you will be kept busy.

Perfume The Art and Craft of Fragrance is a great book for any one with an interest in the perfume world not to mention it would make a great gift.
