Bourjois Halloween Polishes 2013

Bourjois Halloween Polishes 2013

At last a UK high street brand have upped the game and released four new nail polishes especially for Halloween. Within the Bourjois 1 Second line the four new and limited edition are: Dangerous Wish, Ghost Lovers, Vampire Vanity and Enchanting Potion two of which I have to share today each of which have their one finish/effect.

Bourjois Enchanting Potion - This is a clear base with green gold large chunks of glitter which can be layered on for full coverage effect or applied over another polish for extra dimension. In my opinion this polish really comes to life when applied over a deep polish shade such as a navy or black. It dries quickly and to a high gel like finish and as it is gold shade it is not only fitting for Halloween but the entire Autumn/Winter season too.

Bourjois Ghost Lovers - What a bizarre and difficult shade to describe! In some lights Ghost Lovers reflects a light smoky purple shade with a golden nuance yet in other lights this becomes an olive green. Much like Enchanting Potion this can be worn alone or over another polish and again I recommend layering it over a deep shade to really see it dazzle. Once applied over a dark shade (again navy) it turns the polish into the most wonderful olive green glitter shade that has to be seen to believed. Much like the above shade this dried quickly and is a great way to get your glitter fix in a subtle way.

If you are a fan of Halloween and/or Bourjois 1 Second formula this is a must have collection - I plan on getting my mitts on the other two shades in the coming days so stayed tuned for more swatches!

  2. I wish more UK brands would do special releases for Halloween it's just so much fun! Interested to see what the other two colours are? For my nails this Halloween will be wearing L'Oreal Confetti over an orange polish. x
