Lush Christmas 2013

Only having the occasional use of a bath tub means that the magic of Lush is often wasted on me but there is a few products that I do stock up on given the chance, most of which tend to be bubblegum scented.
I think I will ask Santa for a bath tub this year...or a bigger house. Either or I'm not fussy ha!

One product that I look forward to each year has to be Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel, a little part of me wishes that it wasn't limited edition but if it was permanent even under a less festive guise I guess it would be less special? Lush describe this shower gel which can double up as a shampoo and bubble bath as being scented with the sweetness of candy floss and pear drop sweets. For me it is a dead ringer of Juicy Fruit chewing gum but each to their own. Either way it makes those early morning rises a little easier and it does have a certain whimsical vibe thanks to the slight glitter sheen each bottle provides. As far as shower gels go this is not the most moisturising but it does cleanse effectively and leaves the skin fragrant for hours...and I mean hours!

As many will know I'm allergic to Cocoa Butter and as appealing as a massage me be an all over red rash is not but the appeal of Snow Fairy in a solid form was too tempting to pass up on. Much like the shower gel of the same name this shares the same fruity, uplifting fragrance but has been created to not only moisturise the skin but provides a light sexy shimmer wherever it is applied. Like I have done with any Lush Massage Bars in the past this will be getting chopped up into small pieces and burnt in my oil burner to fragrance my home with the pretty pink candy scent we all know and love.

My last purchase was Lush Santa's Lip Scrub which is essentially little more than coloured sugar with a little scent thrown in. There is of course more to it than that coconut oil and extract of cherries and dates to be exact but for £5.50 it is vastly overpriced and yet the cola scent suckered me in. To my nose it smells like cheap cola that our primary school used to dish out on sports day but it is fun and shockingly tastes rather good too. The addition of cute little glitter heart and the fact that it really does buff the lips into a baby soft state lessens the blow of the price. As a one of treat it is a wonderful novelty product to see me through the countless bouts of chapped lips that lie ahead but a repurchase it is not.
