It's been a busy summer for Bourjois with numerous new launches hitting the shelves each better than the last. Today I have three of the newest products to share and I have to say you are really missing out if you have not stalked your local Bourjois counter of late as they are really bringing it! Two of the products I have to share have literally just launched (as of today) so be sure to check them out soon.
To kick things off we have what was once deemed a cult product, yep the one and only Bourjois Java Rice Powder which has been reformulated to mark its 150th birthday! I wonder if we will hold the Healthy Mix collection to such regard in 150 years time. I guess most of us won't be around to find out ha! Basically this is a light reflecting setting powder which is so finely milled that it feels weightless all the while delivering a natural radiant effect to the skin. Despite looking overly shimmery in the pot such effect does not translate on to the skin rather it gives a soft radiant effect that I would deem to be almost on par with Chanel's Healthy Glow Sheer Powder but as this is loose it is much more effective in terms of oil control nor does it settle into open pores or fine lines. I'm not sure if this is limited edition or not but I highly recommend snapping one up regardless.
Find Bourjois Java Rice Powder* £9.99 here via Superdrug for £9.99
Next we have the Bourjois Blush Exclusif a.k.a the Smart Blush this cream to powder formula adjusts to your skin tone and creates a natural hue best suited to your complexions needs. This is done with the help of pH-reactive pigments. I have to admit that I was rather shocked that it took a bubblegum pink tone with my skin tone as normally I tend to yield more of a raspberry pink hue with this kind of product, a pleasant surprise none the less. Shade aside the formula has a velvet like texture that glides on as a cream quickly settling to a powder finish with a beautiful soft focus finish that helps disguise enlarged pores and other imperfections while easily wearing for up to 8 hours on my oily skin. Truthfully the shade is a little stark for me but the formula truly is amazing and a little more refined than the first Bourjois cream blushes and I'd be lying if I said I don't rate it.

In my opinion I have saved the best until last, yes I am talking about the now infamous Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons more importantly the shade Peach on the Beach. Yes every beauty blogger and their mother has heralded this the must have shade and for very good reason as it is the most beautiful bright pink based coral. When applied in layers it almost takes on a neon quality yet you can gently apply for a light pinky coral stain complete with a glossy sheen. It truly is beautiful and just when I had grew bored of the whole lip crayon fad the Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayons came along and changed that with a soft, non sticky yet highly pigmented formula that is bot long wearing and easy to use. Keep an eye out for the deeper and more Autumnal shades of this formula hitting the shelves from the beginning of October.

Oh my gosh I NEED that blusher! It looks so lovely and quite interesting. I think teamed with something warmer on top it would look less stark on you. I think I'd wear it with a bit of Dior Amber Diamond. Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteThat blusher looks gorgeous! I haven't tried one that adjusts to your skin tone before!

It all appeals to me, I'm very tempted, I haven't been out to an actual shop in months (apart from the odd supermarket trip), I think I might have to make the effort to get out. Love it all but especially the vintage packaging on the rice powder!

I tried the blush today and it came out as the same stark pink and I have a completely different skin tone to you so I think it's a bit gimmicky. The other two products look amazing though!
