I know IMATS London 2014 is a long way off but British ladies and gents if you do decide to go next year make sure you make a bee line for the Make Up Forever counter (that or order online for crazy inflated prices) as no-one does a full coverage concealer quite like they do. I kid you not when I say that Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer is my holy grail for covering acne scarring and I really will be beside myself when this tube is depleted.
Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer is a thick liquid concealer that is dispensed via a nozzle tip resulting in limited mess or waste as well as ranking high in the hygiene stakes. I did purchase this is Sephora and due to the blinding lights my shade choice is a little off and a little too light I could have done with around 2/3 shades darker for a good skin tone match but shade number 6 which is dubbed Ivory 6 (I know when have I ever been Ivory in anything?) is a great yellow based hue that makes light work of disguising my dark circles and highlighting. Not to mention when applied under foundation (I know that is a little backwards) it really does hide acne scarring with such ease that I can only imagine how wonderful it would be should I have purchased the right shade...doh! I have read online that this formula tends to oxidise and so far I have not found that to be a problem and I have trialled this product for over a month now.
I kid you not when I say a little goes a long, long, long way! You literally only need the smallest of dots to disguise any signs of redness, scarring, dark circles and I have heard it can also camouflage tattoo's - I'd be lying if I said I have tried. Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer is of course a full coverage product so it does not allow the natural skin tone to shine through nor is it radiance boosting, it does have a thick texture but feels like weight on the skin and settles to a natural semi-matte finish. Despite being full coverage it does not cake, settle into dry skin or enlarged pores nor does it give the skin a mask like effect - it simply adds intense coverage to the any problem areas. Now the Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer is waterproof so it will last all day even on the oiliest of skins and as it is waterproof I highly recommend removing with an oil based cleanser and doing a double cleanse as this baby does not budge.
If you have struggled with finding a concealer intense enough to easily disguise any problem areas but without a heavy texture Make Up Forever Full Coverage Concealer really is the answer to your prayers. Fight you to the front of the IMATS queue!

I really want to go to IMAT next year!! I find that some of the concealers I have used just aren't heavy enough so this might be perfect for me :)

I've been on the fence with this one for months now! While the full coverage sounds tempting, I've tried a lot of concealer that claim to be tempting to not live up to the claim. I think Ill go check this out at counters to have a test run on the scarring I have! xx

Ah, all I know is that Katy Perry uses Make up forever to cover her acne scarring - so that's always going to be a winner for me! luckily, I have quite good skin, however I have clear redness in my cheeks and dark circles under my eyes, so I may possibly try this out for that! Thanks for the review!:) xx
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have pretty clear skin now I feel I need this for the occasional breakout and undereye area! I always seem to miss IMATS though, when is the date for 2014's?

I have been wanting to try this concealer for such a long time! Like the UK Makeup Forever is really hard to get in Ireland though. I think it'd be perfect to wear on its own, just to cover up blemishes on my skin.

This is amazing. I got in in LA a while back on holiday and when it ran out I went into melt down (along with smokey lash mascara - amazing!!) then my best friend went to New york and brought both items back for me! So happy to be reunited with them both! Concealer is getting low though which is worrying!

I'm definitely going to need to try this out! I have pretty bad acne and redness, so I'd love to find a HG full coverage concealer.

I have been wanting to try this concealer for sooo long, I really like the look of a more natural foundation with little coverage, with concealer just used in problem areas. Thanks for the review :)

I really want to try this one out too!
ReplyDeleteI heard you have to take one or two shades lighter than your actual skintone, because it gets darker after drying.
Did you experience that?
