Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette

Much like the sweet treat this palette is named after I couldn't resist indulging in the Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette despite the fact I have many neutral palettes collecting dust in my vanity.
What can I say I am a sucker for pretty things.

A quick note on the design of the palette - I'm not truly impressed when I pay £38 for one item of make-up I do expect a certain higher end feel. Yes the palette is very sturdy but constructed entirely of plastic, I don't know about you but this does not scream high end and luxurious to me?
Redeeming features are the great quality duo ended brush and that features a clear, well sized mirror inside which is handy for on the go applications and to the credit of Bobbi Brown all my palettes to date have worn well so perhaps the plastic coating has a purpose?

Inside the small black shiny casing you will find seven well sized eyeshadows, rather than compiling a broad
sweeping statement of the formula below I have given a colour run down of each shade and also how
it performs in terms of texture and pigmentation. In terms of wear I do find that the Bobbi Brown
formula's work best with a good primer (I tend to use Urban Decay's Primer Potion)
and don't really have a tendency to crease but some of the glittery shades can be tricky to blend out.
Generally speaking I get around 8 hours of wear from the matte formulations and closer to seven with the glitter textures.

Bone (matte) - An off white almost cream in shade eyeshadow, soft to the touch but not all that pigmented
and does have to be layered on for full colour pay off.

Stone (matte) - A deep, rich yet warm chocolate shade with a soft texture and moderate colour pay off, can double up as brow powder for most brunettes.

Frappe (matte) - A light golden toned matte burnt gold come brown shade (sienna?) that works rather well with blue eyes due to the warm undertone and could maybe be used as a brow powder for blondes or redheads. This shares the same formula as Stone above.

Caramel (sparkle) - A purple tinged taupe that gas tiny flecks of silver glitter dancing throughout, this is a fairly sheer formula and offers little colour pay off rather it adds a shimmering glitter effect to the eyes or other eyeshadows when layered on top. Despite being glitter based it has a soft non-gritty texture.

Champagne Truffle (shimmer wash) - A light golden tinged neutral that features a shimmer finish, soft to the touch with good colour pay off.

Cocoa (matte) - This is the lighter, cooler toned variation of stone and again can be used as a brow shade.

Rich Chocolate (matte) - A deep, almost black brown that is rich, intense and the most pigmented shade of the palette - those with black or almost black hair may find this a good brow powder option.

Excuse the pun but the Bobbi Brown Rich Chocolate Eye Palette has sold out like hot cakes and the only place I can currently list as a stockist is John Lewis where it is on offer for £35.55 - link
