Sleek Make-Up Vintage Romance Palette

I am thoroughly enjoying the first hints of Autumn/Winter sneaking into make-up collections and nowhere is it more evident than the new Sleek Make-Up Vintage Romance Collection. A collective of warm neutrals with a few deep, sultry moody shades to comfortably see you through the upcoming chilly weather.

I'm not going to waste too much time on discussing the packaging - this time around it is not special edition just your regular Sleek Make-Up's usual matte black casing with a large and good quality mirror and a duo ended foam applicator. As a friendly word of warning do please be careful with any of your Sleek Make-Up palettes as the shadows are of a fairly soft formula and should you drop one there is a good chance a few shadows will shatter.

The Sleek MakeUp Vintage Romance palette contains 12 shades and to the best of my knowledge they are all new shades (I could be wrong as the brand do have a tendency to release similar shades every now and then so do feel free to correct me in the comments). This time around I'm afraid matte eyeshadow fans will be left in the cold as this palette contains only one matte with the rest being metallic or glitter in finish. Typically speaking I do find Sleek Make-Up to excel at shimmer/metallic finishes but not so much when it comes to matte formula's I find them to be dry, chalky and produce a substantial amount of fall out. That being said I can not dispute that all of Sleek Make-Up's eyeshadows are well pigmented and with a primer then do stay in place all day.

Pretty in Paris - A soft well pigmented clean, bright metallic silver.
Meet in Madrid - Same formula as above but a muted gold - fyi this looks great with an olive green shade.
Court in Cannes - Again a soft metallic formula but in a cool toned bronze.
Lust in L.A - Metallic again but a beautiful and original shade - a cross between olive green and bronze.
Romance in Rome - A deep navy blue matte base with blue glitter, in certain lights this reflects purple.
Propose in Prague - The only true matte, a mid red-brown, a little dry in texture.
A Vow in Venice - Another duo-chrome shade, a firm cranberry shade that can appear red or more brown in tone depending on the light source. Similar to MAC Cranberry.
Marry in Monte Carlo - Another metallic and cranberry like hue for that matter but this is more purple in tone.
Honeymoon in Hollywood - A matte mid toned berry shade with silver glitter again a little dry.
Bliss in Barcelona - A truly divine royal purple metallic, worth the price of the palette for this shade alone.
Forever in Florence - Another purple tone but this time it does lean slightly brown with a silver glitter accent.
Love in London - Much like every Sleek Make-Up palette this contains a black eyeshadow this time around the shade is tinged with green for a little variety and silver glitter.

The Sleek Make-Up Vintage Romance Palette* is a hit in my book - a great variety of shades and formulas that allow you to create both day and night looks. In my opinion it is worth purchasing the £7.99 palette this September (date yet to be announced) for the Lust in L.A and Bliss in Barcelona shades alone.

Random Fact - Barcelona is the 16th-most-visited city in the world and the fourth most visited in Europe after Paris, London, and Rome, with several million tourists every year.
