NARS Soulshine Blush Palette
If you haven't seen the new NARS Gifting Collection I urge you to do so now - there is two palettes this one (Soulshine) and another dubbed the Realm of the Senses which I have reviewed here - link.
Along with the blush palettes there is also two new eyeshadow collectives that are complete must haves which you can view here - link (a heads up the NARS Foreplay palette is also back in stock!). Once you have oohh'd and ahh'd or naughtily purchased an item or two I have a full review of the NARS Soulshine Blush Palette below.

The Soulshine blush is slightly larger in size than a typical NARS blush in my opinion it is the same size as the brand's bronzing line, so as a result they are pretty sizable and given the price tag I would expect nothing less. Each of the two palettes are a single pan blush which is comprised of three main shades and one over spray which can be found within the engraving/logo slapped across the product. To look at they are rather pretty, almost a modern piece of art but once the over spray has gone they can look a little grubby.

Due to the layout of the palette I very much doubt that anyone would be able to use the three main shades (or the over spray for that matter) as individual blushes, rather I feel the purpose of this palette is to combine all the shades together and create a custom blush that is not within the brands regular cosmetic line.
To my eye the three shades that make up the Soulshine palette look rather familiar - there's a large chunk of peachy pink which reminds me of NARS Orgasm, a golden toned highlight which isn't all that different to the brands Gina Blush lastly a dirty plum bronze which could be compared to NARS Oasis. Annoyingly the three shades are not all that dissimilar to the offerings within the Realm of the Senses blush rather they are just laid out in a different combination so there is no need at all to own both palettes. Unsurprisingly the overall effect when all three shades are combined is not that varied from the other palette within the collection - once more this provides (on my skin tone at least) a bright mid toned yellow tinged pink almost coral effect that is rather shimmery and not at all an original shade - think a deeper NARS Orgasm both in shade and finish but a little darker and rose gold/bronze in hue.

As someone rightly pointed out in my last review of the Gifting Palette line the two new palettes do indeed feature a new blush formulation hence why I found the powder's texture to be much softer and less drier than your typical NARS blush. The problem with this is that the product does seem to be more prone to product fall out than normal formula, which is both messy and a waste of product. In my opinion to get the most from either of the new palettes you should try when possible to use a super soft blush brush to apply to reduce fall out - I really like using the real techniques blush brush. That aside there are no problems with pigmentation, it was what you have most likely come to expect from NARS - a well pigmented formula that blends out with ease and is fairly long wearing. On my oily skin this wore when primed for around 7 hours before it began to fade a little but I do blame the current warm climate for products not performing quite how they should!
