MeMeMe Seventh Heaven

Not so long ago I was suffering from dehydrated skin and along with complaining about such condition (if you can all it that ha) I tested out several products aimed at drier skin times. Waste not want not and all of that. The one primer that came out top was MeMeMe Seventh Heaven, let's find out why shall we?

I do deem MeMeMe to be a high street/drug store brand but the Seventh Heaven Primer is one of their pricey items at £15 (it is currently on offer for £10.50). As far as high street offerings go the packaging is somewhat luxurious - a small frosted plastic jar with a black lid but equally annoying. I prefer any cream based product to come with either a pump to dispense the product or to be presented within a squeeze tube. That way you have more control on just how much you disperse each application and in turn minimise mess, hygiene...meh not really an issue as you should know where your own hands have been ha!

First of all this primer smells absolutely gorgeous, a little like the Body Shop's Tangerine scent only not as sickly sweet or intense for that matter. Unlike the majority of my primers this doesn't contain silicones (I'm not an expert but I can't see it listed in the ingredient list nor can I detect it while on my skin) rather it is more akin with a nourishing moisturing cream. As soon as you apply MeMeMe Seventh Heaven to the face and neck it is instantly absorbed by dry/dehydrated skin smoothing out any dry patches and helping create an even base for make-up application. It is highly nourishing due to the additions of shea butter to hydrate which does result in the primer being a little heavier than most and not what I deem ideal for oily/combination skin types. However if you have dry and/or dull skin this is prefect as it not only primes but it brightens. Without the inclusion of silicones I can really say that it prolongs the wear of make-up but when I have dry skin make-up tends to stay in place longer the main issue tends to be caking and products clinging to dry areas. If that sounds familiar this rich cream will not only help keep such problems at bay as well as resulting in the skin feeling more comfortable throughout the day i.e ridding it of tightness. Again without the addition of silicones this will not blur imperfections such as fine lines or open pores, to solve that you will need to combine Seventh Heaven with the likes of Benefit The Porefessional.

All in all a great hydrating base for drier skin types that can double up as a moisturiser should you need it to!
