Limited Edition Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm in Guava Review

Limited Edition Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm in Guava

As many will know October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to help support such cause Origins will launch a limited edition version of the Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm in Guava complete with pink ribbon packaging to honour the cause.

Limited Edition Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm in Guava

You may well be familiar with the Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balms, in-fact Guava is a permanent member of such line but in the regular packaging of course. The great thing about this is that should you purchase the limited edition version and fall head over heels you can repurchase such shade again with ease.
The Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm formula contains Ximenia Americana seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil and Avocado Oil to deliver a boost of nourishing hydration. It also contains Aloe Vera to helps soothe the lips as well as a complex of Orange Peel, Barley and Wheat Germ help protect and guard against future dryness.

Despite looking like a gloss both in the packaging and on the lips it has a rather thick but non-sticky texture which instantly softens and soothes the lips. As it is applied with a slanted nozzle tube it is very hard to over apply, resulting in less waste and mess. Sadly despite the slightly exotic shade name Guava all of the balms have a tingly minty scent which helps to plump the lips and can help disguise bad breathe (a god send if you are a fan of onions at lunch ha!). Yes the balms are somewhat tinted but in my experience they don't really tint the lips at all, at least not in the case of the lighter shades. Guava is a light milky pink with a slight blue undertone that works well with both pale pink and nude lipsticks. Instead the give the lips a light glossy sheen which works great over other drying lip products combined with a quick dose of hydration that can be applied on the go.

For £16 you can have a pretty multi-purpose lip balm that will last you forever and a day all the while supporting a great cause. It should also be noted that £3 (euros in Ireland) from each purchase will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The limited edition Origins Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm in Guava will be on all Origins counters from the 1st of October.
