Do recall all the hype and craziness over Clarins 3 Dot Liner from last year?
I certainly do - it sold out so quickly that some emailed me offering to buy mine.
Well the good news is that as of August the 5th it returns and this time it is going no-where.
Yep 2013 is the year that Clarins 3 Dot Liner becomes permanent...YAY!
I've reviewed a few 3 Dot Liners in the past but I have found that although the Clarins version wasn't around for long and is slightly pricier than the likes of Bourjois Intuitive Liner it still remains my favourite.
Yes I have reviewed this in full but to give you a brief summary this liner comes presented within a sleek black pen applicator complete with a felt tip applicator that has 3 prongs, thus forming the 3 dots and gaining the product such name. At the moment the Clarins 3 Dot Liner only comes in black which is an intense true black that does not lean grey or black - a great strongly pigmented black liner is hard to find and with such colour pay off I find that the liner tends to wear a great deal longer.
Since being introduced to the whole 3 Dot concept a year ago I have experimented in several ways to see which methods work best with such liner. At the moment I still prefer dotting it on close to both lash lines for a subtle effect that gives the impression of fuller and longer eyelashes without the need for heavy eye make-up. However you can use it to draw on thick jet black lines when using all three prongs at once or turning the liner on its side using one prong for a truly fine liner. Whatever way you determine best for you I'm sure you will agree with me that there is not many liquid liners that can hold a candle to the 3 Dot Liner in both colour pay off and ease of use. Unlike some liquid liners the nib of this version always stays damp with the liquid liner resulting it it always been ready to use without having to lean down heavily to disperse the liquid. Despite being a liquid it is not too runny nor loose so it doesn't bleed on the lids or run just precise, clean blacker than black lines each and every time and for that reason alone I can not recommend it enough!
A year on and if anything my infatuation with the Clarins 3 Dot* Liner has grew!
As mentioned this will be back online and on shelves from the 5th of August.
* PR Sample sent for consideration of review.
Random Fact - The right lung is slightly smaller than the left lung.
Looks like something I need, as I'm not very good at applying liquid eyeliner. :P

There are quite a few 3 dot eyeliners on the high street now, might just try out one of the cheaper alternatives first to see if I like them in general!

I recently bought the E.L.F version and love it! Great pigment and gives a great subtle enhancement to the eyelashes, perfect for everyday. I haven't tried the Clarins one but from reviews and swatches I'd say E.L.F is just as good, dare I even say better, but for half the price! Love your blog xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely very orignal. I would love to try this!
