REN Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream

So you work in the city or like myself have to jaunt in on an almost daily basis, you have slicked on your daily SPF to protect your skin from the harmful sun rays but what else can you do to against daily pollutants such as smoke, fumes and free radicals that occur with city living? Well you could try REN Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream.

REN Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream which does not contain an SPF is a specially formulated day moisturiser which is suited to all skin types including sensitive to protect the skin from daily pollution be it smoke, exhaust fumes or anything else the big city can throw its way. The first thing I noticed about the latest REN addition to my stash was the scent - an odd almost herbal infusion that takes a little getting used to. However I can vouch that as soon as the Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream touches your skin it soothes, calms and cools in one quick step and really is a delight to apply particularly after a hot shower. In terms of texture I have found this day moisturiser to be a little on the thick side yet it absorbs quickly. Having oily skin I am more at home with lighter formula's but so far this has not proved to be troublesome nor has it encouraged my skin to become more oily however I do think drier skins may need something a little more intense in terms of hydration. To use you simply apply this before your SPF for a double whammy (or a skin care force field as I like to call it) of reassurance against the outside world.

As always I have looked up the main ingredients to see who our skins can benefit from their uses first up with have Omega 3 which you may know tends to be found in oily fish and is normally included in skin care as an anti-inflammatory, in the case of REN Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream I believe this is to help calm and soothe the skin. Carring on with the Omega's we also have Omega 7 which can be found in macadamia nuts and cold-water fish and when found in skin care it tends to be there to help boost collagen and to protect the skin against environmental damage again rather fitting. REN Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream contains Bisabolol is derived from Chamomile. It acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps to soothe and calm the skin as well as reducing redness which isn't all that surprising considering the product in question does claim to on that calms the skin. We also have Camellia -renowned for anti-ageing properties and Calendula oil inflammatory, anti-bacterial agent, and antiseptic before rounding off with Global Protection Complex which I think speaks for itself (protects against the elements). As you can probably tell the majority of the ingredients tend to either soothe the skin or be for anti-ageing purposes which is really all REN Hydra Calm Global Protection Day Cream claims to do anyway.

In my opinion if you worry about city life ravishing your skin which is understandable as we all know that smoke and pollution can cause premature ageing and leave skin dull/lifeless then it really doesn't hurt to switch to a daily moisturiser suited to your needs. One quick step to help hold of father time, yep unsurprisingly I am a fan!
