I've had this months Glossybox for a few days now and as I have seen a few reviews pop up on my dashboard I thought now would be a fitting time to share my thoughts.
Truthfully I'm not all that impressed with this months offering and can truly only say I like one product which is a little disappointing all things considered.
Anyway on to what was inside...
Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR
This is the product that I enjoyed, a shimmering dry oil that can be used on the body or hair to add extra moisture all the while adding a beautiful golden glow to the skin that is not glittery or over the top.
Although £34 for 100mls I am tempted to purchase this in full size for beautiful shimmering limbs all summer long.
Helen E Cosmetics Shimmering Eye Powder
I'm afraid I refuse to use or review any Helen E products as I worked for them in the past and had less than a enjoyable experience. Bitter me, never haha!
Figs & Rouge Coco Rose Lip Balm
As a brand I really enjoy Figs & Rouge products but sadly I am allergic to cocoa butter which this lip balm contains and with my lips being in an already dire state I sadly can not risk testing this out. I did however pass this on to my sister who said this balm is hydrating, smells utterly divine and she rather enjoyed the light tint it provided on the lips.
Monu Hydrating Moisturiser
A nice enough moisturiser that smells delightfully fresh but I did find it a little too heavy for my oily skin but I do have to give kudos for the added SPF15. Although not really suited to my needs there is no denying that the 30ml sample (full size is 50ml) is rather generous and great for a travel bag.
Mememe Long Lasting Nail Gloss in Alluring
I am a fan of Mememe nail polishes and the brand in general but this shade isn't really too my taste nor does it suit my complexion. I think with this cafe au lait shade you either have to be pale or have a deep skin tone for it to be flattering but on my mid tone golden skin this looks a little bizarre. A nice enough formula though.
So there you have it that was what my Glossybox contained this month.

I'm looking forward to getting my box, all the things that you got would suit me perfectly!

I think you've hit the nail on the head with your opening comment - monthly boxes like these can often be disappointing. But they are a great way to find new products too. I am tempted by that nail colour - I am very fair, I think it would work for me.
ReplyDeleteJust subscribed to Glossybox (like literally a minute ago) and was having a quick look at the June box I would be receiving and am actually a little bit disappointed in the first box I will be receiving :( thinking maybe I should have gotten the birchbox? Hmmm....

I've just received the May box and was really pleased with it. I would be pleased with all of the products above apart from maybe the Helen E, I'm not keen on the products of theirs that I've tested so far.

Your box is better than mine!! It's only my 2nd box too!! I received a crappy perfume sample and I've put "no" to receiving fragrances in my profile, I am so disappointed, I had to search in my box for the products they were that bad!! I got an electric blue eyeliner and I have green eyes! I never use blue liner! I would have been happy with your glossy box :( mine was terrible!
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed how I seem to get completely different products from everyone else in my Glossybox's. I didn't get any make up but I did get some hair products. I'm happy with it though :) http://newwithhashtags.co.uk/glossybox-june-2013/#more-1449
ReplyDeleteHm it seems like all i got was the lip balm the same ! i just posted mine on my blog , come check my box out if you want ! http://the-lavenderblues.blogspot.co.uk/
ReplyDeleteI didn't like my June box as much as the May one but I was still happy. My favourite was the Figs & Rouge lip balm. I wouldn't have minded that Monu moisturiser it looks nice.

I was actually really happy with my Glossybox this month- I wouldn't use the cheap nail polish and loose glitter eyeshadow. I got the lip crayon, Frizz Ease and a MeMeMe baked eyeshadow with mine. I still got the moisturiser and lip balm tube.

Ohh I took a look at this and was like WHAT?! I LOVED my Glossybox this month ... but then I realized you are getting a different version. I think the US box this month was great ... I just got it today and searched reviews and stumbled across your blog! I am subscribing btw ^_^ I think, overall, the UK box has been way better than the US boxes we have been receiving, but the brands, of course, are very different. I actually would love to be able to receive a UK box just to try out new products that aren't readily available over here. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your box but I am happy to have stumbled across your blog :) And I love your green theme - I'm very obsessed with that particular hue right now. Now I will be reading through your other new posts!
