If like myself you have a strong yellow undertone to your skin then it is time you explored EX1 Cosmetics.
EX1 Cosmetics has been created to cater to Asian, Middle/Far-Eastern or Mediterranean complexions with every product from this brand being designed specifically to suit these skin tones. I technically come under the Mediterranean blanket but even if you don't fit into any of the above brackets and simply have a yellow/olive complexion this is a brand you really should look into and today I want to share my favourite ever EX1 find.
There is not much to really say about the packaging it is perfectly sized - not too big, not too small and sturdy. What will more than likely catch your attention is the bright and shiny copper tone of the compact which is also used across the entire brand, in my opinion this stands out in a world of matte black packaging.
I guess to make the EX1 Blush a little more travel friendly a flip top compact with a mirror would be idea but that is really nit picking!
At the moment EX1 have four blush shades to choose from all of which are Clinically and Dermatologically tested, 100% oil and fragrance free as well as promising not to clog pores. Being a huge coral and peach fiend I simply had to have the EX1 Blush in Pretty in Peach, despite the name this shade is more of a bright coral and appears much more intense on the skin than it appears in the pan. Yes this blush has been created for certain skin colourings but due to the neutral yellow undertone and insane pigment levels of the shade there is not a complexion this shade wouldn't look delightful on.
The texture of EX1 Blushes is very akin to MAC's matte formulation - buttery soft, great pigmentation with minimal fall out, they provide a natural flush of colour to the skin without looking chalky/ashen and blend really well. As the EX1 range has been created for Asian/Exotic skin tones I do recommend those with a lighter complexion approaching the blush line with a light hand as the colour pay off is pretty intense.
When applied to my oily skin with a primer I have found that the blush wore for around 9 hours without fading which is rather impressive particularly given the recent hot weather Glasgow has been enjoying...my skin not so much!
