Having fairly light brows - they aren't quite blonde but nor are they brown makes sourcing a decent natural colour match in the form of powder or a brow pencil rather difficult.
You see as much as I love a strong brow on others it is a different case for myself, I feel silly and really self conscious which is useless in my opinion. However a few days ago my beloved Tom Ford Brow Sculptor in Blonde gave up the ghost (once I replace it I will review, I promise) and I was left scrambling around my room for an alternative. Would you believe that the perfect substitute costs less than £3, no me neither but Collections Eyebrow Definer is a mighty fine eyebrow pencil.
When it comes to eye pencils of any description I prefer those that you can sharpen as mechanical pencils once they become blunt they are a nightmare to mold into a decent shape and of course loose precision to a certain extent. However with brow pencils I don't mind too much as I only tend to use the product to fill in gaps and truth be told I don't really require pin point precision and with it being mechanical there's no need to lug around a sharpener on a daily basis.
In my opinion along with the shade of a brow pencil - Collection's Blonde is a cool toned almost taupe light brown that looks utterly natural on all tones of blonde/light brown hair, the texture is the selling point for me.
In the case of Collection's Eyebrow Definer the pencil is soft so that you can easily fill in gaps and of course sculpt your brows into your desired shape yet waxy at the same time so that it wears all day and also sets the brows. If you have oily skin or fear your brows will slide off during the day due to rain etc then always go for a wax based formula or set your brows with wax if using a powder as water bounces off of wax and is close to waterproof as you will get in terms of cosmetics. I can not praise the formula or shade for that matter highly enough - blonde brow pencils are often very hit and miss so finding one that applies well and also wears for around 10 hours on my oily skin is a pretty newsworthy. I haven't tried out the other shades because truthfully I have no need to but I can pop into my local Boots and swatch the shades if anyone would find that helpful.
Sorry Tom Ford you have been replaced.

I absolutely love this brow pencil too - I've probably gone through about 10 of them in my make up wearing lifetime! It actually works pretty well for me even though I'm Chinese and therefore have darker brows and hair. The blonde shade fills in my brows perfectly since a lot of brow pencils for brunettes often make my brows look far too dark and unnatural. Great post :)
