Apparently many moons ago Clinique did have a nail polish line but for some reason it was scraped, well newly launched this year is the Clinique A Different Nail Enamel which has been specially formulated for sensitive skins.
The concept behind Clinique A Different Nail Enamel is that they have been created to reduce the risk of allergic reactions, are safe to use on sensitive skins, and can help reduce the chances that eyes will burn, itch or water with contact. Pretty cool huh? At the moment there is 17 shades to choose from some of which are limited edition so you will have to be quick to snag the brighter shades before they sell out.
I apologise in advance that I have no nail swatches as I currently have Calgel Nail extensions on that I really don't want to paint over at the moment. I have however tested each shade on my toenails but as most hate feet I shall spare you such photos! As soon as my nails are removed I will update with nail swatches.
The three shades I currently own are:
Clinique A Different Nail Enamel in 02 Sweet Tooth - a light sugary pink that applies fairly sheer and is similar to Essie Ballet Slippers. If you enjoy a light sheer wash of pink then this is a great shade to own but for those that prefer more opaque coverage you will need around four coats. This shade settles to a high sheen finish.
Clinique A Different Nail Enamel in 17 Hula Skirt - an almost mint green with a kick, if Mojito was a colour it would be this mid toned mint hue. This is a more opaque formula so only two coats is needed for full coverage, Hula skirt has more of a creme finish.
Clinique A Different Nail Enamel in 21 Hot Date - a bright pink tinged purple that isn't quite neon but still has the wow factor. This shade applied much like Hula Skirt - opaque in two coats but has a glossier finish. To really make this shade pop I recommend using a white base coat.
I don't really have any allergic reactions to nail polish nor do I have contact lenses but it is great to know that Clinique has taken such steps to prevent allergies from happening in the first place and as a result opened up the wonder of nail polish to others!

Lovely colours! Especially hot date ... still not sure about how nail varnishes can be for sensitive skins, never heard of anyone having a problem with that!

these polishes do look lovely, but I've never heard of anyone having an allergic reaction to nail polishes before in their eyes! Once nail polishes have dried I thought they were pretty much 'sealed' so you can touch your face etc

I don't have any idea what 'nail varnish for sensitive skin' even means.

As strange as it sounds, I actually work with a lady that is allergic to some things in nail products! Her cuticle area starts to itch really bad! It's good to know that a brand is looking out for these things!
