I don't normally revisit products but as I have been wearing Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation since the weekend paired with the new primer Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer which you can read all about here -link and have to state that I have enjoyed it more this time around than previously.
My views on the packaging have not changed at all and I do wish more brands would offer similar style packaging as the simple transparent bottle allows you to easily view how much foundation you have left -
which means no more early morning surprises a.k.a waking up to find you have ran out of your favourite base! The Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundations also come complete with a built in pump function which allows you to easily dispense the foundation with such ease and minimizes waste.
The first time around I was gifted "I'm So Money" Honey which is approximately an NC25/30 in MAC and a smidgen too light for my skin tone so I only tested it out a few times before gifting to a friend. This time around I have "I'm All the Rage" Beige which is a much better fit for my NC35/37 skin tone. Benefit "I'm All the Rage" Beige is a golden medium shade which has a yellow undertone and is great match for those around the NC35 mark as previously mentioned. It really is amazing how much of a difference a shade or two can make in foundation and in this case turn my point of view around.
As always I have included my mole as a coverage reference point.
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation is an oil free formulation which in my opinion provides a natural light-medium coverage - it settles to a light dewy finish which is great for those who like to have glowy skin. It also contains an SPF 25 to help protect your skin against environmental damage, sun rays and of course premature aging but not the best for flash photography. As this is a hydrating foundation those with oily skins may struggle with the wear time aspect but if you have dry or normal skin this may be one of the most comfortable bases that will ever grace your face! I have found Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation to be pretty thin and loose in consistency which allows it to be built up in areas of the face that require a higher level of coverage without caking or becoming heavy. I found that as it is a liquid and a loose one at that for the best coverage and general application it looks best when applied with my fingertips but of course that is just preference! My only grumble is that it isn't as long wearing as I would have liked, that being said I do suffer from oily skin that only gets worse as the weather heats up so that will have contributed
to the shorter than usual wear time. Without a primer this wore for 6 hours, but with a primer just over 7 hours however it is a great foundation for that natural, radiant yet dewy look so many of us crave.

Random Fact - Chicago is known as "The Windy City" yet it is not within the top 100 windy cities within the US.
I have been thinking of purchasing this foundation for a long time - but it might be better in the winter/fall when it's not so hot out. Good review though! :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks really nice! I've tried a sample before and I didn't love it or hate it. It was just okay, but had good coverage

ReplyDeleteI got a sample of this in January and loved the finish but the orangey undertones looked awful on my skin :( such a shame, it was the lightest shade too! :(
