BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Live Large Review

BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Live Large

As you may or may not know BareMinerals have recently launched a whole array of lip products including their new Marvelous Moxie Lipsticks which come in 18 shades as well as an array of lip liners and lip glosses. Gone are the days when BareMinerals was just all about loose mineral powders (they are of course still central to the brand) and hello to a brand that covers all aspects of cosmetics.

The packaging of the new BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipsticks are uber cool, sophisticated and to some extent feel like a spy gadget...I kid you not! It took me a good fifteen minutes or so how to figure out how you open the lipstick, minutes of which could've been spared had I took the time to read the instructions. To open you turn the lipstick upside down,  push up a silver button and bob's your uncle.
I told you it was cool!

As mentioned the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick comes in quite a few shades 18 to be exact which range from pale nudes to the deepest plum - something for all skin tones and tastes if you ask me.
I was sent the shade Live Large to test out which admittedly is not a hue I would purchase myself but now that I have tried it out I have to admit that the berry tone is rather beautiful and could be a great shade for Autumn/Winter. BareMinerals Live Large is described as a rosy plum shade and I agree but to elaborate a little further I would say that it has a strong blue undertone resulting in the shade being cool and I would deem it to be a slightly deeper version of MAC's Up the Amp lipstick.

Despite being a satin formulation the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipsticks glide on with great ease and feel creamy soft on the lips. In my opinion the formula is almost gel like and is not drying in the slightest which is much needed given the current state of my lips. I don't personally find the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick to highlight any dry patches nor does it have a tendency to bleed or feather but you may want to team the deeper shades with a liner for a little reassurance. In terms of wear Live Large seems to stay put for around four hours but does not withstand eating or drinking (seldom a lipstick does) but does fade to an even berry stain should you forget to re-apply.
