Even while soaking up rays on the beach I like a slick of colour on my lips - my beach face is lots of sunscreen, huge sunglasses to hide behind, hair scraped back and a glossy coral pout. Less really is more and if like myself coral is your go to lip shade you may want to invest in ArtDeco Hydra Lip Colour in the shade 08 - the perfect pinky coral with an added SPF 15.
Minus the golden accents the ArtDeco Hydra Lip Colour lipstick line is very similar to the Chanel Rouge Coco Shine range - sophisticated and classy, what more could you ask? ArtDeco were the brand to first collobrate with Dita Von Teese and this Spring/Summer they launched their Butterfly Dreams collection which is jam packed with pretty pastels and summer ready shades such as the Hydra Lip Colour Lipstick in 08 Soft Coral.
Soft Coral is of course a coral type hue that leans more pink than it does orange - it reminds me a little of
Chanel Coco Rouge in Boy only this is a little brighter and more yellow based. In my opinion as this formula is fairly sheer it will work with your own natural lip shade so Soft Coral will not look the same on any two complexions which in my opinion makes it suitable for all coupled with the yellow undertone of the shade.
In my opinion the ArtDeco Hydra Lip Colour formula is rather similar to the Chanel Coco Rouge and Tom Ford Lip Colour Shine in that the lipstick is fairly firm but once on the lips it delivers a sheer wash of colour and a quick dose of hydration not to mention that the Hydra Colour range has an added SPF. In my experience the Revlon Lip Butters have a more slippery texture and in most instances a glossier finish than Soft Coral but if you enjoy such texture you should still be able to get along with the Art Deco offering. On the lips the Hydra formula feels light, non-sticky and almost balm like and wears for close to two hours before signs of fading begin to occur.
