Pinch, punch first of the month...goodness knows how many times I've used said saying to open a monthly favourites post. Hey if it ain't broke don't fix it which may just be the theme of my favourites post this month.
First up I have two non-glamorous but utterly essential lip/mouth products in the form of Carmex Lip Balm and Blistex Relief Cream. As many will know with my constant grumbling that I have spent a good part of the last fortnight at the dentist which is bad enough but add the fact that I am slightly allergic to latex and you have one heck of a painful mouth. The latex in the dentists gloves break my mouth and skin around my lips into little dry, red itchy yet painful sores. Luckily Blistex Relief Cream quickly soothes and heals them and Carmex takes care of my cracked and painful lips. Who said my life wasn't glamorous ha!
Bourjois firmly has my heart this month with their new launches my go to's include their utterly divine cornflower blue nail polish Adora-bleu which I have bought a back up of as I wear it so frequently. Launching in a matter of days is Bourjois Cream Blushes which I have not stopped harping on about but trust me they are easily one of the best cream blush formula's I have ever encountered and well worth the £7.99 price tag. My favourite has to be Nude Velvet - a light coral that is my choice for the warmer days.
While we are chatting about Bourjois I have re-kindled my love for Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation, I rather enjoy the level of coverage and the light weight formula not to mention the price tag is pretty easy on the wallet too!
More often than not I have been wearing Chanel's Libertine Rouge Coco Shine lipstick than not, the light yellow based pink gives a sheer sheen of colour all the while being hydrating, not to mention it goes with everything. Much like last month my go to eyeshadow is again by Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Eyeshadow in Emerveille - a quick swipe of this over my lids with lashings of mascara and I'm good to go. Yes it was a pricey purchase but worth every penny given how often I use it.
My most worn scent definitely has to be Chloe See by Chloe which is a light and fresh floral scent that borderlines being fruity, if you haven't tried it out for yourself yet I do recommend heading to your local counter as it a great contender for Spring and Summer for that matter. The other fragrance that has had my heart in a flutter is Shay & Blue's Atropa Belladonna, so complex and sexy. I have never tried anything like it before and doubt I will again.
What have you been loving this month?
Random Fact - Kansas state law requires pedestrians crossing the highways at night to wear tail lights.
Ooh gorgeous choices. I love that blistex relief cream, it fixes anything!

ReplyDeleteI so wish that we got Bourjois products down here in the United States, seems I can't find them anywhere. Everyone seems to rave about their products though!

The Shay & Blue scent sounds amazing x
ReplyDeleteOh that happens me in the dentist too not attractive! Next time you go smother your lips in vaseline it acts as a barrier! :-)
ReplyDeleteA random suggestion but you can buy latex free gloves (chemists should have them) and ask your dentist to wear them. I'm sure she/he wouldn't mind and it would save you the extra misery (going to the dentist is bad enough!). Hope your chops are feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteThat Chanel lipstick looks yummy and nice fragrances. x
ReplyDeleteThat nail polish is absolutely gorgeous! In fact, all the Bourjois stuff you've pictured is looking lush - may have to snap it all up next time I'm shopping!

Love your picks. I got the original Chloe but after smelling See, I wish I'd gotten that instead! I'd love to try out the Shay and Blue perfume but couldn't find a retailer that ships to the States :(
