Over the last few weeks I have been trialing the L'Oreal Ever Riche range for dry to extremely dry hair and although I have nothing negative to say about the shampoo and conditioner I do have to admit that I'm less than blow away by either. Having said that I do really rate the L'Oreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask from the same range - dry to very dry hair.
As I am in the midst of lightening my hair from dark brunette to hopefully a honey blonde (at the moment I am somewhere in the middle) I do like to treat my hair to a deep conditioning treatment twice a week to help repair my hair. L'Oreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask is a thick conditioning treatment that is free from sulphates and waxes not to mention it is formulated using botanical oils, camelina and apricot seed. I was secretly hoping that due to the apricot seed addition that it would perhaps have a fruity fragrance but sadly although not unpleasant by any means it has a typical salon conditioner scent.
Twice a week after shampooing my hair I apply two walnut sized blobs of L'Oreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask from the nape of my neck down to the tips of my hair - my hair is both long and thick so I do use more than what the average person will ever need. L'Oreal do recommend leaving for 5 minutes but I like to leave it on for as long as I can possibly manage with my hair wrapped in a towel. On a Sunday I have been known to leave a conditioner on for a good 10 hours or so.
As soon as I apply L'Oreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask to my hair I notice that it is instantly absorbed and once rinsed my hair does feel remarkably softer, easier to comb and after a good few uses I am inclined to say that not only does my hair feel better it looks better. With constant bleaching my hair can appear dry and rough but L'Oreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask has smoothed down the cuticle without weighing down the hair.
Finding a good let alone great deep conditioning mask on the high street without being on a budget is hard enough but finding one that is kind on the pocket is neigh impossible so L'Oreal Ever Riche Nourishing Intense Mask gets a massive thumbs up from me!

I bleach my hair a lot, and on top of typically dry hair it's pretty damaged so this sound lovely! Definitely affordable too, I'll be picking this up when I run out of my current deep conditioner!

This looks really good! I'm also trying to lighten my hair from a dark(ish) brunette to a lighter brown. How are you actually doing it because I'm finding it quite difficult! haha I tried using a light brown dye and I've also been using Lee Stafford lightening spray but I've seen no major change yet. x
ReplyDeleteI'm using the shampoo and regular conditioner version of this, and really rating it so far. i do love it's free of sulphates and waxes - it makes me feel so virtuous!

I got the shampoo and conditioner of this for the smell mainly, plus it seemed suited to my hair. I agree with your review of them, they're good, but not immense. Seems I should have got the mask!

I use the coloured hair version of this and really like it - you can feel it working instantly. May have to try leaving it on for longer! x
ReplyDeleteOooh I love how they put lots of natural ingredients in! :)
ReplyDeleteHave you tried putting it through your hair before shampooing and conditioning? I've started doing this as its winter in Australia and I don't want to be walking around with wet hair. I'm still testing it out but its been working pretty good so far! Will have to try this mask out, I have used one from this range (it was in a forrest green tub) and it was decent enough.
ReplyDeleteHope I can track this down in one of our stores :) Paris x
