I've mentioned time and time again that I'm not the biggest fan of facial scrubs and don't exfoliate my face all that often. However every now and then I do like to give my skin a good deep cleanse and in the recent weeks I have been relying on Dirty Works Vitamin C Brightening Mask.
Admittedly the Dirty Works Vitamin C Brightening Mask is not the best smelling mask ever - I was hoping it would have a fruity tangy scent but rather it reminds me of hair removal cream. That being said do not let the fragrance put you off as this Brightening Mask is rather wonderful and a complete snip at £4.99. For change of £5 you get a lovely facial treat that not only instantly brightens and tightens the skin but it gently exfoliates the skin revealing brighter softer skin in one quick step. If like myself you have dull skin on occasion and not a whole lot of patience this is a great quick fix as it really does leave the skin looking more luminous and velvety soft from the first use and unlike other deep cleansing treatments this does not seem to encourage my skin to purge and break out.
For the price you will be hard pushed to find anything on par with the Dirty Works Vitamin C Brightening Mask, for brighter and deeply cleansed skin it is a must. Although the texture may not be similar (this is more of a clay type mask) I do find this mask to give similar effects to REN's Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask the only difference is that this will not fade scarring.

It seems a good few wonder what I do with any props that are food related in my blog posts and I can't blame you i'd wonder too! If it is sweet treats I have no problem getting rid of those, trust me there is always takers when it comes to cake. However when it comes to fruit etc my family and friends aren't quite as keen so more often than not I use the fruit to make smoothies or flavored water. Basically I make my own flavored waters by grabbing either a jug or jar with a lid, load it up with water and fruit slices pop it in the fridge and drink a few hours later et voila naturally flavored waters that are yummy and good for you!
Random Fact - Microwaving a lime for 15 seconds before squeezing produces almost twice as much juice.
This sounds awesome!

This sounds like my sort of face mask, i am lazy at exfoliating my skin. This is a great idea to do with spare fruit, my family are the same we all eat the cake and leave all the fruit.

I usually find this kind of skincare a little too abrasive but I like that its similar to the REN mask - I might have to try it now! x
ReplyDeleteI have always wondered what you do with your props! This mask looks quite good for a fiver, shame I'm nowhere near a sainsburys! Xo
