A few days ago I shared the first three of the five Barry M Confetti Nail Paint - review link and today I have the last two in the line up. Truthfully I have to admit I am not a fan but then again I don't seem to be enjoying any textured nail polishes or looks at the moment, for me it's got to have a high shine finish or nothing at all. That being said if you do enjoy a slightly funkier than normal nail look or have been desperate to try out Nails In Feather polishes then you really can't go wrong with the Barry M Confetti Nail Paints. As David Dickinson would say "cheap as chips".
Basically the new Barry M Confetti Nail Paints are matte glitter polishes by any other name, all five feature a clear or very lightly tinted base in which various shreds of rectangle matte glitter is suspended within.
You can wear any of the Confetti Nail Paints as a top coat much like the L'Oreal Confetti Top Coat - review link or you can apply several layers for an almost fluffy and bizarre effect. For reference all of my swatches feature three coats, I was going to do more but patience is not my strong point and in my experience the Confetti Nail Paints are not the quickest to set.
Barry M Confetti Nail Paint in Bubblegum - A clear base with a mix of white and bright blue matte flecks, this seems like a decent enough alternative to Nails Inc Cornwell Feather Polish.
Barry M Confetti Nail Paint in Sour Apple - Again a clear base bit this time around the glitter shards are of both yellow and turquoise, I would say the this is somewhat similar to Nails Inc Feather Polish in the shade Brighton.

Random Fact - Birds have both feathers and scales.
These are pretty but not my thing, creme polishes all the way x
ReplyDeleteThese look nice but I think that the gelly line is nicer xxx

I think these look really interesting. Not sure I love the look but I think they could give a really different effect for anyone bored of just having a normal colour or normal sort of glitter topcoat. Would love to see what these look like when they're really layered up so that they become opaque xx

I spotted these today but refrained from buying. Honestly I don't think they look ideal - I work in an office so couldn't get away with this anyway, but even if I could I'd still stick to the regular polishes. xxx
ReplyDeleteI'd have like to have seen more of the Barry M polishes on your last few posts, one picture of one finger really doesn't give a clear enough idea of the polish
ReplyDeleteI meant on the nail! BTW I just realised that my above post sounds horrible, I'm a polish addict so I like to see them on the nail properly. Maybe on the next polish review a full hand shot?
DeleteNo problem :) I normally do full hands when it comes to individual polishes and one on each finger when it comes to a collection but yeah not a problem I'll do full hands again! x
DeleteI'm not sure if I like the effect are not!

Oh, also I'd love if you'd vote for me in the Company blog awards, best fashion - newcomer, thanks :)
Very unique and creative! x

Lovely post and photography setup! How do these compare with the opaqueness of the Nails Inc. polishes? They look a little sparse?

Not a fan so far, Barry M seem to be churning out the new realeases now, I do think they should slow down a little bit and bring out prettier less gimmicky colours every now and again, I think maybe there's too much out there now and people are getting less and less excited about each collection.

Like a few of the feather shades, not quite so keen on this one, looks a little messy.
