Lately I have been attentively watching the new Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser adverts and thinking to myself I need to get me some of that! Luckily on Wednesday a bottle of Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser popped through my letter box and I was keen to put it straight to use.
I loathe moisturising my body it is such an effort - first of all you have to apply then you need to wait for it to soak in before getting dressed and when you are in a hurry slapping on a body butter really is the last of my worries. Combine laziness with the fact that I have to shower twice a day (once in the morning and once after the gym) and you will have some rather parched skin.
Enter Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser this really is one of the best new bath and products out there, basically you lather up in the shower as normal, rise clean and then apply Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser all over before rinsing clean. I will be the first to admit that I was sceptical that this concept could ever work as it seems like you are washing away the moisture so to speak but let me tell you it really does work!I have used this for my last 7 showers and can noticeably feel and see the difference - gone is the rough, dry and unsightly skin on my upper arms and in is soft and smooth skin. Quick and effective with the typical clean and fresh Nivea scent there really is nothing I don't like about Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser.
Quick, easy, effective and a long time coming if you ask me. Thank you Nivea you have made this lazy gal silky soft and very happy!

Speaking of modern day classics in the making I think Macaroni Cheese Pizza will be coming to pizzeria's near you soon! If you have a weakness for cheese you may want to try rustling this up!
Basically all you need to do is make Macaroni Cheese - I use this recipe -link only I use Mature Cheddar cheese as I find Mozzarella makes a weak mac and cheese! Slap it on to a pizza base - home made or bought I choose the latter out of convenience, then cover the mac and cheese pizza in more cheese pop in the over for a few minutes so the cheese can go crispy and let the cheesy goodness take over. You may want to go for a run after eating a slice or two as diet friendly it is not!
Random Fact - In 1993, Crayola named one of their crayon colors “macaroni and cheese.”
I absolutely love the in shower moisturiser - Nivea has always been my go to brand for skin care - I love the 'creme' (used as a lip balm) and the 'refreshingly soft moisturing cream' (for my face).
ReplyDeleteAfter using the in shower moisturiser for a couple of weeks now, my only gripe is that it tends to cling to the bottom of my shower making it INCREDIBLY slippery. I've nearly slipped a couple of times now - so have to wipe down my shower every day.
Oh gosh I haven't noticed that as we have a wet room and the showers in the gym are weird tiles that don't tend to get slippy. Thank you for letting me know though :) I now know to be careful when away from home!
DeleteOh dear that pizza looks good!

ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting review, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI have mixed opinions about Nivea creams in general..I remember 10-15 years ago ( probably even more actually) Nivea was the best moisturising cream you could think of when you had dry skin..it was thick and luxurious, in that metal tin and it felt so good with every use...I must say now I feel that it lost that charm and that ability of really moisturising your skin..I might try this one and see how it goes but I am very nostalgic about the old one :)

So weird that no one has ever thought of this before!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I'll be trying it anytime soon, Nivea is always a bit of an on/off brand for me.

THIS product has really intrigued me - so glad you like it! Thought it was another marketing claim.
ReplyDeleteI've NEVER eaten Mac n Cheese - does that make me weird? haha x
How has a product like the Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser not been created before. Such a simple idea, and definitely great for those of us that find regular moisturising a bit of a chore! x
ReplyDeleteI love the sound of this product! Am I right in saying it works like a hair conditioner? Great concept - I get so fed up with waiting for body moisturiser to sink in before getting dressed.
ReplyDeleteAnd that pizza looks weirdly incredible, will definitely have to try that out!

This product would be so useless for holidays as it is muti-use. I am really interested in using this product, will have to pick up after using up all my body butters. This pizza looks amazing, i will have to make this after my diet.

Random question but how do you think this would fair in a bath? I know it says shower but I wondered if you thought it might work as we don't have a shower. So deprived! lol.x
