A few days ago I shared a brow pen from Barry M which was greeted with a rather mixed response and I can't blame those that feared it as it does look daunting and the shade was beyond dark
but today I want to show you that brow pens really are wonderful.
One of the best I have ever used and actually repurchased is Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Precision Shaping Pencil.
This nifty duo ended pencil contains a liquid tint at one end and a soft pencil nib at the other so you can use both mediums to create your ideal brow. Unlike the Barry M version this comes in two shades: Love is Blonde - a light ash brown and Brownie Points - a mid toned brown. I have Brownie Points which is a perfect match for my medium brown hair and will suit most shades of brunette hair shades but could be a smidgen too light for those with black hair.
The idea behind this duo is that you use the brow tint to of course tint the hairs of the brow - don't worry about it staining it is easily removed with any cleanser but you can also use the liquid to draw in the brows where they may be sparse for a natural look. The very beginning of my brows are pretty much non-existent so I use a few fine brush strokes to create something out of nothing. The fine pointed fibre nib allows you to that with utter ease and I promise it looks so much more subtle than using a powder or typical pencil. You then have the other end which can be use to completely fill in the brows for a more full on look which admittedly isn't really my style but it is reassuring to know that I have a great brow pencil at my disposal should I require it. Although I don't use the pencil end I can report that it is waxy, easy to apply thanks to the precision point and a really natural shade of brown.
My brows are something I like to once in the morning and that is it, I don't want to have to retouch throughout the day so a long lasting formula is a must have. Luckily both ends of the Soap & Glory Archery - Brow Tint and Precision Shaping Pencil hold their own and wear for at least 10 hours even on my oily skin. If you have yet to find your perfect brow partner I really do urge you to give this nifty duo a go.

It looks great! And the name is so clever - Soap and Glory always seem to have the best names!
ReplyDeleteI might give this one a wee go - looks good and not too expensive. However, my favourite eye brow pencil out of all I've tried is by MUA and it's only £1!!! Great post! Love your blog.

I have got this. Its fabulous - really ...I have tried every brow product under the sun high end to low end and believe me.THIS is the best - go get it girls you wont be dissapointed - and it comes of when you want it off. Ive tried HD Brows, Benefit Vrow Zings and they wear off come afternoon,.This baby doesnt andit looks so subtle. Even if you have very sparse eyebrows - you can creater your eyebrows without it looking like a clown.
ReplyDeleteThankyou Soap & Glory!!
This sounds great. I'm a loyal powder user but a tint might be an interesting thing to try and switch things up :) xxo
