To know me is to to know that I enjoy a good coral blush or two ten so as soon as MAC launched their In Extra Dimension Collection I instantly snapped up one of their Extra Dimension Blushes in Blazing Haute which is such collectives coral/peach offering.
Over the years MAC have launched a good few Extra Dimension collections with embossed powders featuring a swirl like wave and MAC's logo forming a pattern...like I said very pretty. Other than that the packaging is typical of MAC - matte black with a flip top design and is of the same size as a regular MAC blush.
MAC Blazing Haute is listed as a "Dirty Peach" and I agree but to go that little further I would state that it is a yellow based peach which of course means it leans neutral and should suit most skin tones.
MAC Blazing Haute reminds me of a slightly more pigmented version of Benefit's Georgia which has been discontinued within the UK. I do think Blazing Haute is better suited to those with a fair to light medium complexion as I do fear that this shade would be a little stark on those with a deeper skin tone.
MAC describe the formula of their in Extra Dimension products as a powder to liquid experience but in my opinion it is more like a gel powder, it is firm to the touch but melts slightly with heat and is very easy to blend out and does not emphasise imperfections which is something I am forever grateful for.
As they are rather firm the colour pay off is not as intense as your typical MAC blush offering but on the plus side it always gives a natural and subtle look making it very difficult to over apply.
In my opinion MAC Blazing Haute is a satin finish - it provides a slight sheen which looks dewy and light on the skin and does not settle into the pores all the while being a joy to wear due to the texture.
Truthfully the wear time for Blazing Haute is not all that outstanding but MAC do state in their blurb that expected wear is around the 6 hour mark which I'm guessing will be true for most, in my case it wore for around 5 hours before fading.

Some Sparkle and Shine
Ooo la la! The color is gorgeous. How do you recommend applying it? I am so afraid of cream blushes because of the potency! Any tips? Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteHello :) it isn't a cream blush it is a powder that sort of melts onto the skin so you can apply it just how you would a typical powder blush, I hope that helps and thank you so much that is so kind of you! x
DeleteThe gel texture sounds interesting. I'm loving all your Mac reviews at the moment :) Don't think my bank balance does though! xxo
