A nude eyeliner is an everyday essential as far as I am concerned, it opens the eyes and gives the illusion of not only clearer, brighter eyes but bigger too! However late last week I lost my staple nude eyeliner and in a flap I delved into my beauty stash and found an un-opened Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in White and decided to give it a go and boy am I glad I did.
As you'd expect from Dolce & Gabbana the packaging is of course utterly divine - a light gold dual ended pencil that features the liner at one end and a sturdy rubber blending applicator at the other. Truthfully I have found the angled applicator with is meant to be used to smudge out the pencil a little too stiff for the delicate eye area and best left alone. I can also report that the Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner sharpens rather wonderfully with minimal product waste!
Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in White is a true bright, crisp white that is jam packed with pigment and
due to the creamy texture a dream to apply.
Much like a nude eyeliner a white liner can open, brighten and enlarge the eyes but only in a more obvious way as it is of course a little more stark. For me this is not an everyday option as it is a lot more obvious than nude but a great alternative to nude for a night on tiles, particularly when teamed with a full on smoky eye.
You can also use this as an all over wash of colour on the lid or as a primer should you wish but it will use a considerable amount of product each use that way.
It isn't the shade that sold on me on Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in White it is the formula, a rich, creamy velvet smooth texture that glides on to all areas of the eye without tugging, pulling or snagging on the delicate eye area. I have found Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in White to have the perfect texture firm enough that you can draw precise lines but soft enough to blend or smudge out with ease and adding to the wow factor is the fact that it wears oh so well. I have tested Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliner in White on my upper and lower lash lines as well as my waterline and find once it is applied it doesn't budge! On my lash lines it wore for around 6 hours and close to 4 hours on my waterline.
I may not be swapping my nude liner for a white shade anytime soon but I will be picking up a few shades of Dolce & Gabbana The Eyeliners A.S.A.P!

I've always been fond of black eye liners. Maybe I should give white a try. Great review!

I have never tried a white eyeliner, I have always reached for the black as well but maybe I should have a go with a white!

I have always wanted to try a white eyeliner as sometimes with a black smokey eye a black eyeliner can be a bit to much! It's a shame this is so expensive, but the packaging is beautiful.
